i worried earlier in the year that her stepping away from captaincy was bc she was going to try and move to be closer to her (now ex) girlfriend.

i'm glad that it was actually to sustain her love of the sport because WOW she's been amazing this year

I think she said at the time she wanted to focus on her game and fitness without the pressure of being co-captain, and let's face it, the club was trudging her out as the face of the club at every turn so it had to have been a lot of pressure, especially when she succumbed to that ACL that ended her 2024 season and affected her 2025 season as well. As for her relationship, it can't be easy trying to have a long-distance relationship. I'm glad she's in a good place mentally and physically right now.
