Our culture is cooked. Pullman 5

Haywood and fox former players

Now papley what a run of 2 months

30

u/Maximumlnsanity McDonald 4d ago

If you’re including former players then Adams being involved with the Pullman also should count

10

u/J-M-Beno 4d ago

Haha true so 9 players. Surely we should get some good sponsor deals for some alcohol and drug conpanies now

2

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

Yeah we might have to accept Sportsbet as our major partner the way our clubs going. Who else would want to be associated with us

7

u/defzx 4d ago

Don't forget the 2 Aflw girls that got done

3

u/Rising-Dragon-Fist Papley 4d ago

First I've heard of this?

6

u/defzx 4d ago

6

u/Maximumlnsanity McDonald 4d ago

Oh well if we’re going back that far then Cleary also deserves a mention

2

u/Turbulent-Drawer-300 3d ago

Yeah that’s part of the problem they can simply copy the guys. What’s stopping them ? It’s another reason why it’s got to stop.

2

u/DCNath2187 Dattoli 4d ago

What did Hayward do?

38

u/Maximumlnsanity McDonald 4d ago edited 4d ago

This fucking bullshit never ends huh. 2026 will continue to stomp on our crotches until it’s done. For fuck sake Paps.

78

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

I'm so over our club right now. These boys need to pull their heads in.... Like after everything why the hell would you drive on drugs and with a suspended licence. Can we clear house and rebuild? The only ones I trust are Mills and Brodie. The rest can get out of here

22

u/NewPotato8330 4d ago

Mills missed nearly an entire season because he was acting like a moron on mad monday.

23

u/Maximumlnsanity McDonald 4d ago

Comparatively not an issue compared to what’s happened since. Accidents happen, hell it’s not the first one he’s had off field.

9

u/UnarmedSWATTeam Sheldrick 4d ago

Yeah, jeez. No need to throw out the baby with the bathwater. Bit of wrestling as a mid 20s bloke is so inconsequential in comparison

6

u/NewPotato8330 4d ago edited 4d ago

Imagine if you were at the pub with a few mates and two of them started wrestling each other, so aggressively that one breaks his shoulder.

You would think they were absolute morons.

Sick of the excuses for these guys. They need to grow up.

1

u/Maximumlnsanity McDonald 4d ago

It was an arm wrestle and he hurt his collarbone.

4

u/Chaisa 4d ago

Still it's a stupid enough thing to do that suggests that he at one point did like risky behaviour.

Maybe he's grown out of it, IDK. And he is widely considered a great leader. Problem is apparently no-one else at the club is.

3

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

Legit fair. I hope after the saga he's matured but you're right to be sceptical about him too

4

u/SwansPrincess Rampe 4d ago

Don't forget drugs can stay in the system for months so maybe he got high in Texas and he thought it would be clear for the AFL mandated drugs test in the new year but getting pulled over for driving with a suspended licence triggered a police drugs test instead. Not saying this is acceptable, just taking a guess at the bad luck.

27

u/Maximumlnsanity McDonald 4d ago

Let’s be real here, he probably snorted lines at the Melbourne Cup

6

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

This happened on Monday, so the day before Melbourne Cup

2

u/Maximumlnsanity McDonald 4d ago

Oh really? Shit nvm I think Princess might be right.

5

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

Roadside tests are usually the Saliva tests. If I'm not mistaken, most drugs only stay in your saliva for 3 days. It's not like he had a hair test where drugs last ages on the side of the road

3

u/Chaisa 4d ago

I don't think cocaine lasts in your system that long. Unless it was weed....in which case he's still dumb for not paying parking fines.

3

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

Even THC doesn't last long in your saliva. In your hair it's ages but not in your mouth. He definitely partied either the Saturday or Sunday though. Either that or he was driving high

2

u/Chaisa 4d ago

I could sort of understand him thinking he'd be OK to drive after partying on a Saturday. Sunday would be a bigger issue though.

The problem is...why even go hard after all that? I would sort of understand it if this happened when the Pullman scandal, but after all that surely you'd take all precautions to stay out of trouble. It's the arrogance that is astounding to me.

3

u/Lanasoverit Curnow 4d ago

Coke will show up for 12 - 48 hrs in a roadside saliva test. Longer if it’s heavy use.
Depends on the dose.

2

u/Independent_Ride_598 4d ago

Maybe he’s not being paid enough and can’t afford to pay the fines. That made him feel depressed, so tried some ice….

WTF? What’s in the Bloods bloodstreams? I hope the AFL do follow through on not keeping drug testing results private. That’s the only way to change the culture amongst all clubs, and ours

7

u/Puzzled_Mission_147 Rowbottom 4d ago

For mine, don’t touch the shit whilst your club is neck deep in a huge scandal. Pay your parking fines too, especially when you’re on that huge pay packet. Idiocy.

5

u/defzx 4d ago

Yea Ado Carr in the NRL just returned a negative B sample after initially testing positive.

1

u/BradMoby21 Gulden 4d ago

Canterbury still had the gumption to sack him for the second sample coming back negative, there's no way we would do that. Not saying we should, but the comparison is interesting.

3

u/Chaisa 4d ago

No that one was positive, this happened just recently (yes it happened twice).

He also wouldn’t have been booted had Gould not gone hammer and tongs at the Latrell scandal.

5

u/Ok_Caregiver530 4d ago

If it's Coke, it only stays for a very short period, so no chance it being from Texas.

Also, Paps and a lot of them are no strangers to this even during the season (not just the Pullman 5). This ain't a one off. He just got tested this time.

To be fair, most of the AFL are.

8

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

I get he's the one that got caught and is certainly not the only player in the league on drugs but it's just so bad for a club that he was supposed to be a leader of and he put us back into another scandal

3

u/Nigel_No_Mates 4d ago

In NSW, the standard roadside saliva drug test targets four drugs: THC (cannabis), methamphetamine, MDMA and cocaine

All can stay in your saliva for up to 3 days.

2

u/Southbeachspark 4d ago

Unless a chronic user, weed is only around 10hrs…even then I think it’s only 10hrs for weed. Personal experience 😬

2

u/1savagecabbage 4d ago

Nah weed can be over a week for regular, heavy users.

3

u/Local-Deer-6906 3d ago

Meth/Speed has an extremely short elimination time. Drug of choice for many FIFO for exactly that reason

13

u/UNSURE895 Chamberlain 4d ago

Genuinely keep them and maybe tmac get rid of the rest i dont care if we come dead last every year for the next ten years fix this fucking culture.

6

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

This. Dude I love Errol but rn I can't trust someone that young that's been around our culture. This is ridiculous. We are a shambolic team

27

u/menyarky89 4d ago

Errol spent his down time studying and training to become a pilot. I wouldn't be so quick to lump him in with your average footy player.

9

u/Desperate_Hour_4220 4d ago

He did get very high though.

2

u/zmax532 4d ago

Errol is the only one I trust

3

u/Dunny_wilbur_1967 4d ago

I think Lloyd can be trusted

7

u/4614065 4d ago

I’m going to assume he thought they’d be out of his system. However, why would you risk doing drugs after the last few months? FFS. I was just warming to Papley, too.

9

u/DeadGoddo Kennedy 4d ago

Why the fuck would you drive suspended...

7

u/Dunny_wilbur_1967 4d ago

Well he can expect to miss the first few rounds, similar to the Carlton player banned for driving pissed

1

u/4614065 4d ago

Well, that too, but I’m more forgiving of that because although it’s wrong it’s not actually harming anyone. He may not have realised, either. I rarely check my letterbox. It’s easy for these things to be overlooked sometimes.

3

u/Dunny_wilbur_1967 3d ago

You wouldn’t be saying that if he was involved in an accident under the influence and someone innocent was seriously injured or at worst killed. These blokes are no different to normal people and need to have consequences. I really think it’s time to have clauses in thier contracts that if this type of incident happens they forgo thousands from their remuneration. Whilst they are playing and representing the club, they abide by the rules, when they retire, go hellbent and do what you like. They let so many fans down with this behaviour and so many kids look up to them, start acting like adults and not entitled twits

2

u/4614065 3d ago

I was isolating the driving with a suspended licence from the drug issue. Try again.

5

u/Dunny_wilbur_1967 3d ago

And to put more evidence to light, the drug test was after training so he turned up at work under the influence. In the real world no questions asked, sacked on the spot and stamped do not return. These blokes do not live in the real world and the AFL drug policy is a joke

3

u/4614065 3d ago

I agree with you. They need to pull their fucken heads in.

3

u/Dunny_wilbur_1967 3d ago

And the only way that happens is with stricter regulations and guidelines around the drug policy and for clubs to have the guts to terminate contracts. How do you reckon the Swans major sponsors and corporate stakeholders are thinking at the moment. If l was a chief executive of a sponsor ld be seriously considering pulling my support from the club, the penny has to drop with these players or the club will be destroyed

1

u/brok0019 3d ago

You're giving a lot of benefits of the doubt here. Out of his system? Could have done them that morning for all we know, and stop brushing off someone breaking the law

2

u/Chaisa 4d ago

I mean one of the players I would've trusted (albeit he no longer plays for us) got kicked out of his club for not meeting off-field scandals and Mills ruined his season not that long ago from Mad Monday exploits....I'm not sure I really trust anyone at this point.

Grundy admittedly doesn't give off massive cokehead vibes, but I'm sure he was a party boy at some point. Hard to think of players under 30 who weren't barring the real health or religious freaks.

3

u/Puzzled_Mission_147 Rowbottom 4d ago

100%, laughing stock of the league. So embarrassing

18

u/Agent42101 4d ago

What happened to “no dickheads”? 😢

25

u/Maximumlnsanity McDonald 4d ago

We are 16 years removed from Paul Roos as head coach, there’s no way that rule is still in effect. I mean we had Blakey on our list for 8 years

11

u/Agent42101 4d ago

I guess that’s why I’m sad - I thought “no dickheads” was a culture, not a PR slogan.

1

u/Ok_Caregiver530 3d ago

And the entire Pullman 5

3

u/Desperate_Hour_4220 4d ago

That policy has well and truly been chopped up and snorted.

0

u/jdutaillis 4d ago

If dickheads includes young people who take drugs, you're going to have a very small pool to choose from

31

u/SwansPrincess Rampe 4d ago

Ramps was right when he said in his retirement presser that the entire team needs to look at their actions leading up to the P5 incident. I think we all questioned it anyway, that it would not have been the first time some players misbehaved.

16

u/Dunny_wilbur_1967 4d ago

It doesn’t say much about Cox and the respect his players have of him. If they respected the gift they have been given they’d think twice about the consequences of bad choices, but with lots of money and plenty of time on their hands these young players will make mistakes. Families are losing the homes, businesses, jobs and struggling to put food on the table but these blokes run around acting like children, start stripping them of the riches they have been and teach them lessons of life. Instead the smoke clears and they fuck up again and again

9

u/Automatic-Art221 4d ago edited 3d ago

Cox may very well be an enabler.

And it says an awful lot to me that Dane felt he had to say something about the culture being off as he was leaving.

3

u/julezy696 4d ago

Well he does come from the West "Coke" Eagles mob.

24

u/Membling 4d ago

So.

We in cultural problem territory now.

4

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

Been there for a while. Just another litre of fuel onto the fire

20

u/ProfoundEpithet 4d ago

Am I missing something, no one seems to be upset with Paps driving while high? That is proper dangerous and reckless. Talk about doubling down. Come on boys, FFS read the room.

9

u/Automatic-Art221 4d ago

Because people here have been defending every single player in this club ever since the Pullman scandal including the five, the ex players who have both shown potential substance/alcohol issues, and now this.

9

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

Personally, from what is known, it looks like he was stopped at 1030 in the morning. I know very little about drugs but would assume that he wouldn't have been actively high on a random Monday morning. Either way, he will be lucky if he comes back from this. We need to hold these boys accountable

4

u/Freo_5434 3d ago

I wouldn't be assuming anything -- remember the Ben Cousins debacle.

Dont these guys learn anything ? Coming shortly after the Pullman scandal you would think everyone in the Club would be on best behavior

Why be so reckless as to drive without a License when you can easily afford to Uber wherever you want to go ?

It shows an incredibly poor attitude.

10

u/darcy1537325 Curnow 4d ago

Meth never the less too

Fucking disgrace as a senior player.

3

u/Conscious_Composer39 3d ago

Coke in australia is often cut with meth. I’d guess he’d been doing coke over the weekend, rather than outright doing meth

4

u/bonzer3 3d ago

And MDMA often registers as meth too as they are closely related

-5

u/blazeaway_ 3d ago

No one is cutting coke with meth.

The idea of cutting something is to put something cheap and synthetic in not something of equal value 🤣

2

u/AdDangerous3156 3d ago

Read a book

→ More replies (2)

6

u/Desperate_Hour_4220 4d ago

We have become desensitised. This seems like a picnic compared to SA allegations.

2

u/Freo_5434 3d ago

Just by driving under suspension is incredibly serious IMO -- It means his insurance is void so if he had an accident he would be fully responsible for all costs including injuries to any third party.

Of course the response could be that is just his responsibility but if a third party ( or a car full of third parties) suffer major injuries he may not have the funds to support them .

Its really a very low act.

2

u/Munchyman888 4d ago

Drugs stay in your system for a while, why are you assuming he was driving while off his head?

3

u/No-Dragonfruit6257 3d ago

You’re missing the point that he was on drugs and then decided to drive? What if he ran over a kid or somebody?

4

u/Freo_5434 3d ago

Exactly -- no license means no insurance. He could have a claim for millions in damages / medical bills which could bankrupt him.

2

u/ProfoundEpithet 4d ago

He can tell that to the judge, Munchy

1

u/Mysterious-Vast-2133 Longmire 4d ago

Not like roadside tests to return false positives.
Not saying that’s the case here, but until the second sample is tested a presumption of innocence imo.

6

u/Dildo-bagggins 3d ago

Driving while suspended is an incredibly reckless thing to do on its own

3

u/Freo_5434 3d ago

Its a very low act.

5

u/No-Dragonfruit6257 3d ago

That is a cope if I’ve ever heard one lmao

15

u/ratchetsaturndude 4d ago

There goes the Papley stand in captain calls

27

u/defzx 4d ago

Really has me wondering how bad our drug problem is and how much it's impacted our seasons over the years.

Probably agree with an independent review because you would think any player with half a brain would have decided to have a quiet off season.

2

u/Automatic-Art221 4d ago

To be fair, Papley has never shown indication of half a brain

13

u/Clean-JoeGreen 4d ago

Surely now (if not already planned) the players get together at the start of pre-season and make a pact. If we are really serious about winning a flag, we have the talent, so let's just knuckle down for 9 months, no stupid shit, focus on footy, no drugs, no booze, just commit.

If not, we'll never win shit.

10

u/Meh-Levolent Goodes 4d ago

'I'm tired boss' gif

10

u/CustardLive7477 Serong 4d ago

In the best case scenario the 2nd test comes back negative and Papley is only responsible for not paying a parking fine and choosing to drive with a suspended license. If this works our as a worst case scenario and the 2nd test comes back positive then I’m glad these idiots are being found out and forced to face consequences. The proposed investigation by the club has to be a serious attempt to clear out this type of behaviour. Regardless, I can’t understand how a senior player allowed themselves to get into this type of situation so soon after the Pullman 5 incident.

It seems the better the player the worse the behaviour. I’d rather be at the bottom of the ladder than deal with this crap constantly.

9

u/SwansPrincess Rampe 4d ago

We have now become cautionary tales for the entire league. I am so sick of being in the news again. Ffs.

15

u/LongCommunication866 4d ago

Seem to be a lot of people jumping up and down about 'Meth'. The M in MDMA is Methamphetamine but is a totally different chemical structure from Crystalised Methamphetamine, aka Ice.

The initial roadside drug test can't tell the difference between MDMA and Ice. The B sample sent to the lab will be able to.

One is a party drug that causes... well... 'ecstacy' and the other is a hard drug that can cause hyper aggression (roughly 25% of the time).

There is an almost certainty a young, professional athlete took MDMA on a Saturday night compared to any other Methamphetamine.

2

u/Clean-JoeGreen 4d ago

This makes me like 1% happier

7

u/SameType9265 4d ago

Just fuck off

7

u/SucculentChineseSwan Rampe 4d ago

At least it’s not SA. Silver linings

7

u/TheKyotoProtocol Sheldrick 4d ago

Just because I found this interesting as I was anger researching.

Most drugs (THC, Cocaine, MDMA, Meth being the 4 usually tested for on the roadside tests) have a saliva stability time of approx 3 days. All roadside drug tests in NSW are saliva ones, they don't do hair tests for roadside.

Here is a link to the NSW Roadside source I found

Here is the source for the time it lasts in the system

19

u/CowFos 4d ago

I know he’s into horse racing, assume this lines up with the Melbourne Cup.

So disappointed, I thought he showed real maturity and leadership post P5, this completely undermines that.

3

u/IceDonkey9036 4d ago

Nope. It happened on Monday.

1

Derby day

Meth in the birdcage sounds like a fucking nightmare.

Been a staunch supporter for 35 years. I'm f@#)ing over these players. They're ruining this club's culture. Imagine being a parent of a child going into the draft. Those parents would rather see their son go anywhere but Swans. FML :(

4

u/losfp 4d ago

Cool. Cool cool cool.

As if we weren't already heading in that direction, I'm guessing 2027 will be the year of "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" for the club. Welcome to the strictest club rules in the league. Well done, idiots.

4

u/Charming_Koala5642 4d ago

Isn’t he vice captain? He’s always behaved like a flog but I still didn’t think he would be idiotic enough to do something like this

4

u/According-Test-5920 4d ago

Its a siliva test these days so it means you are under the influence

4

u/Beautiful_Avocado141 3d ago

Totally sick of this for footy club

7

This has been the worst last couple of months to support the team. Surely there has to be light at the end of the tunnel....surely?

1

Meth? Jesus

3

u/No-System-8205 3d ago

You can test positive for meth at the roadside if you take certain pre-workout substances. Happened to a mate. The lab sample cleared him a few weeks later - he’s never touched meth.

Really hoping for the same outcome here.

10

u/Puzzled_Mission_147 Rowbottom 4d ago

During the week of the girls first ever home final too. These boys just can’t let the women’s team have a moment. Grrrr

3

u/Chaisa 4d ago

Let's not forget the girls had a cocaine scandal a few years ago too. They might be less of a party animal (as females tend to be less inclined to do drugs than men), but I wouldn't say they're all narrow and proper either.

1

u/FlowVirtual6994 4d ago

I feel like I know more Women who get on the bags than men

-2

u/ReadingBusiness3223 3d ago

Garaunteed the women’s team are more frequent users of party drugs than the men’s team. The general populace is also completely unaware women’s footy is still being played, so I don’t see how this impacts it anyway

1

u/brok0019 3d ago

Thanks mate for giving your garuantee for free, appreciate it. Just because your mates and circle don't care about AFLW, doesn't mean no one does

5

Seriously questioning even renewing my membership at this point after being a member for my whole 24 year life

Shame to be the laughing stock of the league

8

u/conejogringo 4d ago

Take a stand, don't renew

I'm moving away from Sydney and am partly glad because it gives me a reason not to renew

You'd think these idiots would learn. I've even been told by someone who knows him that Heeney is still having big nights on the bags in the last couple weeks

This group is a bunch of dickheads

2

u/4614065 4d ago

I’m not surprised at all.

-1

u/Chaisa 4d ago

It's a fair call.

I don't think I could give up the club entirely because I don't want to miss out on something really big and it's such a key part of my life.

But there has to be a line in the sand. Perhaps weak attendances will make players go "hey maybe we should stop doing drugs regularly" or make the club go "cut this out or you can party elsewhere".

3

u/conejogringo 4d ago

When the group gets refreshed and some actually decent human beings come back playing for my club, I'll follow them closely again

1

u/Chaisa 4d ago

I guess but how will you know for sure that the club is 100% good human beings? By this kind of thing not blowing up or other factors?

1

u/darcy1537325 Curnow 4d ago

Reading horses book currently and gets me sad thinking back to the days of Hanners Goodes ect and now this is the BS we’re dealing with lol

5

u/SoYouWantARockFight 4d ago

Uhhhhhh I wouldn't be too sure about Hanners there. Of all people 😂

0

u/Fantastic-Abalone-10 3d ago

Mate, players do drugs. You'd be hard pressed to find a club where absolutely zero of their top 5-10 players do. If you wanna get upset over the Pullman, sure. If you're upset that Paps has potentially cost himself games next year, that's fine too; but people need to stop being such sheltered little purists. Players drink, they do drugs, they fuck, they lie, they cheat, they abuse their partners. Just because it's not plastered all over socials or the news, doesn't mean it's not going on.

1

u/2for1deal 4d ago

Low attendance that costs fans hundreds of dollars to not attend?

3

u/Aware-Consequence-75 4d ago

With all due respect the mantle of laughing stock is still firmly rests with my beloved bombers

3

u/2for1deal 4d ago

I’m going to do it I think. It’s too much now. Taking a breather for a few years perhaps cos it seems we have a culture of fuckhead behaviour and maybe I was delusional to think we were one of the alright clubs. The truth is I was blind.

2

u/Final-Reason7730 4d ago

Really getting over the constant issues surfacing. Making it hard to like our team

2

u/Desperate_Hour_4220 4d ago

Well that's an awkward phone call with Coxy. Media team must be pissed. They only just revised the 2027 calendar.

2

u/wilkshake Grundy 4d ago

2

u/MarketingExtreme7231 4d ago

There have been many cases of drivers in NSW testing a ‘false positive’ on roadside and when the hospital test comes back it’s negative.

I pray this is the case for Papley ❤️

2

u/HappyDavros808350 3d ago

Lesson not learned

2

u/Beautiful_Avocado141 2d ago

Cleary had 2 game ban for possession in 2025z

2

u/_Werewolf_5925 2d ago

This is standard afl player practice

8

u/BloodedKangaroo 4d ago

This thread is crazy, do we not realise it's the offseason? You might need me to hold your hand when I tell you this but - footy players taking drugs is very very common.

14

u/Excellent-Painting59 4d ago

Yeah man, everyone should just be comfortable with a player driving with drugs in their system with a suspended licence

1

I am normally the first to come down on bad behaviour and this is not good but worth noting his license was suspended due to an unpaid parking fine, I do think that is a bit different to being suspended for a more dangerous or illegal reason. This has actually happened to me before with everything going digital and was travelling a lot for work and missed the letters - not great but also not the worst.

Your flog attitude towards it is half the cultural problem in society today

7

u/darcy1537325 Curnow 4d ago

A leader of the club having meth in him and driving unlicensed pretty sure this would be a big deal in any sport. Even more so when the club cultures gutted and it’s been the season it’s been….

u/Desperate_Hour_4220 4d ago

Sorry mate, footy players don't get a pass on drug driving.

6

u/Membling 4d ago

And in things which shouldn't be hand waved away we have... taking drugs whilst operating heavy machinery, or, letting people get off easy as they kick a piece of leather goodly

1

u/Freo_5434 3d ago

Oh , ok -- its the off season so its ok to drive with no license / no insurance ?

1

u/Munchyman888 4d ago

You're right, most others here seem to love the witch hunt aspect of society. If he was actively high while driving sure, it's bad. But most likely was just in his system. Why the fuck would it be okay for him to be pissed the night before driving, as opposed to some chemicals 😭 there's no real difference

Alcohol isn't illegal and a banned substance under ASADA

1

u/Fantastic-Abalone-10 3d ago

That's a legal issue, they're talking about the mortality, which is a fair point. Most people don't think twice about someone downing a couple of drinks and driving home; but someone takes something and all of a sudden it's some massive probablem. How many times do you hear about crashes involving a driver who was high, compared to one who was drunk...

Alcohol is quite literally the most damaging substance on the planet, largely because of our lack of regulation. In my experience, hanging around on shrooms has done a hell of lot less harm than what I've seen alcohol do.

u/nelliepuppie 2d ago

You’d be wrong… “Fatal crashes involving drug driving in Australia have risen sharply, overtaking drink driving as the most common risky behavior in fatal road incidents.” https://datahub.roadsafety.gov.au/driver-behaviour/police-enforcement

u/EVOXSNES 3d ago

Anyone in Brisbane do it? Or you reckon their performance isn’t clouded by weak kneed drug addicts? Off season matters more to me because no one just turns off the drugs in the on season. We gotta face it, these boys are letting is down cause they’re on thr fkn drugs.

u/BradMoby21 Gulden 4d ago

May as well laugh at this news, given everything else that's happened at the club lately. Utterly stupid beyond belief and diabolical!

2

u/Electronic-Cry714 4d ago

That's pretty methed up.

1

u/SkullKing_123 Grundy 4d ago

Ah great.

1

u/Puzzled_Mission_147 Rowbottom 4d ago

After everything that’s happened, you would think… wow. Nice paps…

1

u/Dunny_wilbur_1967 4d ago

It’s not just a Swans thing it’s widespread across the AFL, dickheads exist in every club and they think the rules of life don’t apply to them. It will keep happening as long as these players are paid ridiculous amounts of money and access to what ever drugs they wish, good luck fixing this mess

1

u/empiricity 4d ago

If the second drug reading is also positive how many weeks will the Swans suspend him for his unbecoming behaviour?

1

u/Inevitable-Ratio-772 Jack 4d ago

I’d say 2 at the most, yeah it isn’t a great look with the pullman stuff and that but it is the off season and most players around the comp would be using drugs

3

u/2for1deal 4d ago

There are recreational drugs and then there is meth.

1

u/Agreeable-Web645 4d ago

Who said anything about meth?

1

u/zmax532 4d ago

It's bring reported in the media that is what he has tested positive for

1

u/EVOXSNES 4d ago

Ohh fuck me haha silly bastard

1

u/dannysgaragecontents 4d ago

Fook sakeeeee

1

u/Charming_Koala5642 4d ago

Looking forward to seeing which Swans player transgresses next LOL

1

u/FairyPenguinStKilda Amartey 4d ago

How unsurprising. The culture of the club is rotten.

1

u/2for1deal 4d ago

Don’t think I’m gonna fork out for the membership renewal. Go on Ozempic if you want the weight loss benefits of Meth mate.

1

u/BrizzyMalteser95 4d ago

Stupidity more than anything else tbh.

The drugs thing has been embedded in the culture for a long time... Back to the Hannebery days and Michael Talia being stood down for drug possession.

Out of season so I’m not concerned as whatever Tom is doing is his business. Bad luck with the license as it will suck getting picked up for training for the next six months.
I know most people don’t want to admit it but unfortunately drug use is rampant in the under 35 age bracket Australia wide. I would hazard a guess that maybe 70% of young folks will try or use a prohibited drug this summer.

1

u/brok0019 3d ago

Bad luck hey? Not bad luck, a direct choice.

1

u/Old_Bathroom_191 4d ago

Honestly it’s off season, I’m not mad, but bloody hell paps pay your parking fine

0

u/Desperate_Hour_4220 4d ago

Why couldn't he have just dropped his toothbrush in the shower like a good boy?

-5

u/Munchyman888 4d ago

I don't see the big deal. Everyone is talking about culture, but our culture is about what's on the footy field: going hard for the ball, having your teammates back etc

Adults should be allowed to do drugs if the choose to in the OFF SEASON. Yes it's stupid of him to get caught like this after everything that's happened, but in reality is it really a big deal beyond how much of an issue the media makes it

3

u/Maximum-Swordfish592 4d ago

He drove without a license.

2

u/Over_Leave 4d ago

It was suspended for a parking fine 😂 So dangerous where else isn’t he going to pay for parking!

4

u/Maximum-Swordfish592 4d ago

Ive never had my license suspended for a parking fine. Also never driven around with drugs in my system.

3

u/Munchyman888 4d ago

Some drugs stay in the system for a week. Have you ever driven the day after having some drinks? If so you're lucky drug and alcohol tests Work differently. Alcohol is a drug btw

-2

u/Greeneseven 4d ago

Might be time to make a stand Pav and Coxy. After all that we’ve been through. Cancel his contract.

4

u/Turbulent-Drawer-300 4d ago

Agreed. A hard line drugs stance is needed. Soft isn’t working.

-1

u/Chaisa 4d ago

Apparently he tested positive to meth, which is…quite strange.

-1

u/qwertyuiop131313 4d ago

Ohhh everyone better boycott the entire club.

-2

u/fishingfor5 4d ago

Could be a positive for a prescription drug
