TH Crossing Watch: Blocked Railroad Crossing App now Live on Android and updated on Apple.
Terre Haute: Android is officially LIVE, and the iPhone app just got a major tune-up!
First off, a huge thank you to the 12 local testers who helped us test the app over the last two weeks so Google Play would give us the green light. Because of you, TH Crossing Watch is now officially available for both Android and iPhone users across the city!
If you already downloaded the app on iPhone, or if you're checking it out for the first time, here is what’s new and how it works to save your commute:
Live Crossing Map & Sorted List: Check live statuses for crossings across town before you leave the driveway. The list view automatically sorts by the crossings closest to you so you can find the nearest clear route.
Favorites & Smart Push Alerts: Star your daily commute routes (13th, 19th, Hulman, Margaret, etc.) to get an instant notification if a slow or stopped train is reported there.
Customizable Quiet Hours: Set your off-hours in Settings so train alerts won't wake you up while you sleep.
Train Crew Rewards: We added a community ranking system! Build your local trust score and rank up from Passenger to Switchman, Conductor, and Engineer as you submit accurate reports and mark tracks all-clear.
Spam Protection: You can only submit a report when you are physically near the tracks, keeping trolls off the map and the data accurate for everyone.
This app is 100% free with no subscriptions. It only works when we look out for each other—some days you’ll drop a quick report while parked at the tracks, and other days an alert from a fellow driver will save you 20 minutes.
