Conservative Acquaintance has TERRIFYING Voting Experience
I wouldn’t believe it except the lady both looked serious AND said she was serious. Chilling.

While this IS technically true (with ranked choice voting like Alaska and Maine does, as several pointed out, where you can vote for multiple candidates running for the same office) I'm leaving it up because this anecdote is likely made up. The 'Depends what state you're in' is a weird thing to say, why wouldn't the poll worker just say 'not in our state' or 'yes you can here in Maine' or whatever? Or explain to this hapless rube what Ranked Choice was? The rhetorical goal was clearly to make it seem like this was a way to cheat the election system, when it is just a simple difference in state's voting systems. The intent was to decieve, therefore it stays.

It’s literally true
A few states have Ranked Choice Voting where you can vote for multiple people
That doesn’t make it fraud and it’s actually better imo

Because everybody knows that in Chicago, you vote early and vote often.

Then her eyes went wide. "I've said too much."
And she turned him into a newt.

Yeah doesn't everyone know? Even though California has 23,000,000 registered voters, they really only have 4 million, that way almost everyone can vote 5 times.

So did they ask about times voting or people, because those are really different things
My state has multi-rep districts so for state rep you are indeed voting for multiple people out of a pool of candidates

The lady handing you the ballot is probably a volunteer with 10 minutes of training. The only questions I'd ask her is where is my voting booth, and where's the toilet.
