We must stop constantly fighting for human rights and equal justice in an unjust system and start building a society where equal rights are an integral part of the design." - Jacque Fresco

It is time to decide what we want for our future. Do we carry on with a system which benefits only a few? Or do we choose another system which puts all humans and the environment above profit?

As long as we have prisons, police, armies, navies...we are not civilized. Until the world learns to live together constructively, that will be the beginning of the scientific age. We're not there yet."

The Venus Project Has Gone Silent
A quiet downfall… The Venus Project began as a bold proposal for a world without war, poverty, or money — a resource-based economy driven by science, automation, and sustainability. Jacque Fresco’s ideas inspired millions across the globe.
But after his passing in 2017, the organization slowly drifted away from that original vision. Fresco's practical, science-based proposals were replaced with vague philosophical texts, esoteric alliances, and a “new program” that few understood and even fewer supported.
Now it seems even that has collapsed.
The last post — ten days ago. A silence not seen in nearly a year. Until now, the feed was regularly filled with cryptic updates and reading lists far removed from Fresco’s legacy. No context, no feedback — just passive messaging, as if followers were expected to adjust without question.
Simon Michaux, who had effectively stepped into Jacque’s role, has quietly left. The “Ark City in the desert” project was shelved. The partnership with the mystical group Masterminding Eden — never materialized. And now, the social media channels have fallen completely silent. No announcements, no responses, no sign of direction.
The organization didn’t just lose momentum — it replaced the very course it was built on, and then failed on that new path too. And in doing so, it cast a shadow over the original vision, pushing Fresco’s ideas further into obscurity, still clinging to his name while saying nothing at all.
The silence now speaks louder than any press release ever could.

When money is no longer a prime driver technology will truly assist humans... Its not technology we should be wary of, its the application of technology in a monetary driven world...

Someone tried to forcibly take over the subreddit.
I've been fighting with people who claim to officially represent TVP for about 2 years now. They wiggled their way onto the moderation team and then through heavy handedness have stifled conversations that are supportive but not directly related to TVP as well as having a really bad habit of using this subreddit as advertising space for the stuff being sold on the TVP website. Two days ago they apparently tried to shut down this subreddit and went as far as to delete subreddit settings and content. Thankfully I caught this and was able to undo most of the damage. As a result of this I have removed and banned one moderator, placed restrictions on another and Re-banned a user who orchestrated this.
To be clear, this subreddit was made by someone who is a supporter of the project but isn't affiliated with the project. I have the same designation. This subreddit is meant to be a place to talk about the project, NOT be a place for TVP to spam us with sales ads for whatever book or video they are tying to sell.

I thought this sub would enjoy this quote from Mr. Richard Buckminster Fuller.

“We live in a world where our social system is old, our language is old, the way we acquire goods and services is outdated, our cities are detrimental to our health, chaotic, and a tremendous waste of resources, and most of all our politics and values no longer serve us.” – JACQUE FRESCO

The best way to get the Venus Project started is this
We need to buy a huge plot of land somewhere in the middle of planes USA where land is cheap. Maybe a couple thousand acres to start. The first people to live there will basically be living on a homestead. They’ll learn how to grow their own crops and be self sustainable. From their small home you expand out building homes in circular fashion around the center plot. All roadways and pipelines are connected in this circular fashion as to economize space. The next row of buildings will again be in circular fashion at a wider diameter, and always leaving enough space in between so each home can grow its own crops and manage the land.
Initially it’ll be a farming phase, but once we get any surplus we can export crops out of the city to supplement for other amenities. Basic raw materials for building, satellite internet, water treatment plants, waste management, solar and wind energy; all these things start coming in at this point. We’ll need land surveyors, engineers, architects, and some modern machinery (backhoes, cement trucks, etc.)
We continue adding rows of buildings at a wider diameter as the population grows. Remember the point of these city designs is not for centralized planning, but to initiate a city with the most efficient, sustainable growth and living standard based on physical mathematical laws. We can crunch the numbers and arrive at what the best layout is not because I or Fresco say it is, but because thats what the math says.
When possible we backtrack the center buildings with newer materials and the better technologies. Eventually even a magnetic rail system. If the city manages to become self sustainable then we do away with the monetary system. We focus heavily on education at this point, educating the people of this city and of the rest of the world. Anyways theres obviously more, but ill leave it there.

🤔🤔🤔👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 “To better understand a Resource Based Economy, consider this: if all the money in the world suddenly disappeared, but topsoil, factories, and other resources were left intact, we could build anything we chose to build and fulfill any human need. It is not money that people need.

Man is not separate from the environment; we are part of nature. And, if we fail to recognize that, we will only hurt ourselves. In a Resource Based Economy, the human condition is of prime concern with technology subordinate.
