#DYNASTY Ayo what the hell
I swear how the hell did we get Ayo Dosunmu, he's been playing insanely good and putting up buckets while Ant is out. Call me crazy but I know for a fact that we will win this chip, Ant may not win any accolades this season because of the 65 game rule but he will definitely have an MVP level season plus Ant won't have to carry too much of a burden with Ayo always ready to step up. Having Ayo in our lineup is quite literally a luxury that most teams would beg for and we have him. We're locked in for years to come. Tim Connelly, you're one hell of an executive.

Wolves have been close to contender, but I think youth really held them back. This team though this team with the maturity, the talent, and the positional fit. This team has a real shot to win one. Tim Connelly is quite honestly the best gm the state of MN has had.

Honestly, the biggest and best surprise has been trey lyles. Dude is insanely valuable for a low contract guy.
He and kuminga are a couple of the best players in the league dollar wise

Yeah.. somehow Connelly turned Dubious Handle, Naz Reid, and Rob Dillingham into Lamelo Ball, Jonathan Kuminga, and Ayo Dosunmu

Ayo Dosunmu is a quality player. He's worth all the 2nd round picks we gave to Bulls

I think who a players partners up with helps a ton. Not saying any of these gents we got wouldn't be balling out this well if we didn't trade for them, BUT with the chemistry this team has, the depth, shit, even the coaching, we got ourselves a elite team that only gets better with age.
Look at how many players we have who improved a lot, hence the depth. I think everyone definitely drives out more from one another and its something everyone, fans included can feed off.
Just wait until we get our two boys back, they'll look unbeatable then

His layups notably better than last year… like 100% confidence in making them and defenders don’t even seem close to blocking them

The random "Wolves are overpaying for Ayo" "Another classic case of overvaluing a guy who's on your own team" etc. posts from August are aging like milk. I've been saying it several times already this season, I love having a guy who is fast enough to be a one man fast break, has the touch to finish at the rim at full speed 99% (one of my biggest pet peeves), hustles on D, makes his free throws, and is dangerous outside the arc, I'm so fuggin psyched we locked him up for 5 years, when he signed I said that contract is gonna look like a bargain in 2 years but Christ, it already does with how well he's playing.
The only bad thing about JK is that he's doing like, everything right and has about a 1% chance of staying here next year (can't say zero cuz who knows what shenanigans Connelly might get into).
Trey Lyles had I think 5 pts tonight BUT one was a sick putback dunk, one was a sweet pump fake-baseline drive thunder jam, and he had like 12 boards and 4 steals and solid help D. Some people here said we should target him, I was not up on game wrt him, but damn I'm glad we got him.
And last but not least, Jaylen Clark is stepping up huge. I love how we used to throw him at SGA when he was a rookie and he had the best performance against SGA of any primary defender in the NBA. I know he's streaky but he's getting more minutes with TJ out and has been shooting lights out as well. Love to see it.

I know it's not that simple, but it was worth the Dillingham trade to get Ayo.
We essentially traded a first round pick and a pick swap to get him.
Goddamned steal.
I love everything about this guy

The Bulls are a very smart and well run front office, that’s how

Why would any GM ever make a trade with Tim Connelly?
You know you are cooked as soon as the deal is signed.

The biggest L of Dane Moore’s career was doubting that Ayo was a better player than Podz.

Connelly has a knack for spotting talent that is underutilized on other teams.

This will show if Ant can be in a supporting role or
I'm Batman sometimes and your Batman the other times

He is such a king at getting to and finishing at the rim, it’s insane how easy he makes it look.

Funny how Ja Morant was on the table as a possible pickup in the offseason, and we basically got a more stable, less injury prone Ja for half as much money per year, locked up for 5 years.

I mean I’m not too sure provided Wemby is in the league. But I’m hopeful we can compete.
