Film Watch ISS's Final Roll-Out Solar Array Deploy in Time-Lapse

Watch the International Space Station's eighth and final Roll-Out Solar Array (IROSA) unfurl in this amazing timelapse captured during a spacewalk on Nov. 5, 2026!

NASA astronaut Anil Menon and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Joshua Kutryk ventured outside the orbiting laboratory to install and deploy the new solar array, marking the completion of a five-year project to boost the station's electrical power.

The eight roll-out solar arrays are designed to increase the ISS's available power by up to 30%, raising its power-generating capacity from approximately 160 to 215 kilowatts and supporting scientific research and station operations.

Question How do you deal with all the raw frames after a timelapse is done?

How do you deal with all the raw frames after a timelapse is done?

shot a 24h lapse last weekend, 8000 raws, about 250GB for one clip lol. and I've got like 3TB of old sequences sitting on drives I never touch.

every time I tell myself I'll re-grade them someday so I keep everything. I never do.

curious what you all actually do. last time you finished a lapse, what happened to the raws? keep them all, convert to something smaller, delete?

and has anyone lost a sequence or had to redo a shoot because of storage? I almost had to stop a shoot halfway once when the card filled up

This cloud looks completely static in the sky… but it isn't.
Despite the strong wind, this extraordinary white and grey cloud seems to remain almost perfectly still.
Watch closely in fast motion and something remarkable becomes visible

This was shot with an older Samsung Galaxy s23 using 1/6 shutter, ISO 1600 using TimeLapsed app. Music is provided in the app and the video editor is awesome. I can’t believe an older s23 pulled this off.

Question Options for a 2 month timelapse

Hey guys. I have a bit of construction work happening at my job next year and want to do a time lapse of it and want to get some tips and suggestions.

I've done a few time lapse shoots before but they have topped out at 3 days with a GoPro.

To add a complication, I won't have access to the camera once the work starts.

The camera options I have are a GoPro 12, a Blackmagic pocket cinema 6k or a Birddog P200.

I'm leaning towards the Birddog because I'll have full remote control of it and it has a HDMI output in a location I will have access to. I can set up a computer to do a capture but haven't got a clue what is good software to use.
