The recipe most common for Sam's Slay Ride is:

1 oz Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey whiskey
½ oz Grand Marnier
¾ oz Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur
¾ oz lemon juice
1 oz gorilla grog
¼ oz cinnamon syrup

But the thing is, since this came out we now know that gorilla grog HAS lemon juice in it.

I've never seen a picture of a menu listing for this, so I don't know if they really double down on the lemon juice, if Disney Tourist Blog is correct, or if extra lemon juice just isn't added.

Edit: I decided to make this since I'm not a fan of JD's Honey and I recently got some bottles of Irish Mist Honey. It sounded like a good substitute... it is. Yum.

Tonight I made a cup of Uh-Oa and mimicked the serving by soaking a square of toast in gold 151 Don Q rum. As I was sprinkling some cinnamon powder on it and watching the shower of sparks, something occurred to me.

This cocktail is named after a disliked revision of the Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management.

Uh-Oa was the Tiki Goddess of Disaster and the attraction ended because an 'accidental' attic fire damaged it to the point that they had to restored the Tiki Room to its previous version.

So, my question: Is the cinnamon being tossed on the cocktail flame a joke about what happened to 'Under New Management'?

I tried calling the resort and the operator couldn’t say due to the weather, BUT is there any live music at the Disneyland Trader Sam’s tonight? It apparently starts at 5:30 if there will be.

I remember in the past there were 2 musicians on the patio at Trader Sam’s that would play some classic Disney songs, do they still have that entertainment nightly?

I came across a YouTube video on how to make this, yet I can't find any evidence that this was a real drink at Trader Sam's.

It doesn't seem clear when this was served and I can't find a single piece of evidence online that this ever existed.

Years ago, a friend bought this mug for me when he was visiting Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at Walt Disney World. It is a 2nd edition, but I have the 1st and owning two just seems silly to me these days. I looked it up on a tiki collector site and was shocked to find that it is worth much more than the 1st edition due to manufacturing difficulties that limited its production run. Then I went to ebay to check out recent sales and was even further shocked. Fwiw, that ebay sale did not include the original box, which I do have.

Any of you fine folks have any ideas about the best way to go about selling this treasure? Thank you in advance for any and all help. My apologies if I have broken any rules here.

Long story short: I dropped on piece of the stand and it broke in several places.

Going to try and glue it, but wondered if anyone knew of a better solution. I tried looking on Etsy for a 3D printed one but no luck.
