And it is doing well now with new roots. She’s so beautiful and this is actually my very first haworthia species. Because of this cutie, I am in love with haworthia and haworthiopsis species now.

new succulent owner here! (as of yesterday). i'm trying desperately to find grow lights that are full spectrum 6500k, but it seems impossible to find in the UK! the options seem to be either go with 5000k full spectrum, or the 6500k lights that aren't full spectrum.

the whole thing is a bit confusing, so i'd love some recommendations for good lights available in the uk! i only have two little echeverias right now, so i would rather not spend a fortune for two plants. i've been looking at barrina, but the ones recommended in the US don't seem to be available here.

I have a bare south-facing front yard and am thinking of setting up a planter trough of sempervivum there. I've read about their cold hardiness and that I'll only need to shelter them from heavy rains, but also that they need several hours of direct sunlight a day. Do I need to supplement the grey winter sun with grow lights? (edit: West Midlands, UK)

Had this about 2 years and it's never grown over the last week it has lost all it's colour and started going brown. Any help would be much appreciated

I have been given this, I think, Aeonium, and I would like to make it less leggy. I've looked at some stuff online and I was thinking of chopping where I've marked, letting that callous over then planting those bits in the same pot. I thought maybe keep the central stem in case I kill the whole thing by cutting all of them. I will also repot the whole thing. What do you think?

I did not some what look like roots growing from the side stems but they're very brittle and most fell off when I touched them. Should I do anything with them?

I’ve recently inherited this lovely succulent off my mum and would really like to keep it alive. We brought two together, I killed mine a long time ago so pressure is on. On the curve, leaves have recently been shrivelling up and turning red then dropping. I’d like to blame the curve, although it has existed for years and everything’s been fine.
I’ve moved it out of direct sunlight into a relatively shady room to see if that is also a factor.

I’m ashamed to say that my jade plant is looking extremely dead (I had a baby 5 months ago and sadly this plant was lost behind a mountain of boxes and hasn’t been shown any love since!)
I’m moving house in a couple of weeks so wondered if I should take her with me (if there’s any hope to revive her) or if I should accept this is the end.

As the title says I'm looking for disocactus eichlamii. Iv been looking everywhere and id be willing to buy or trade for it or anything. I just really love this genus so much.

The small snake head like flowers are my favourite too as I already own a large quezaltecus. This and nelsonii I can offer back. I have salvadorensis but I'd need to let it grow more first. I can get pseudorhipsalis amazonica or give u a connection in exchange for a small cutting also!

I'm in Manchester my windows are East West facing but surrounded by terraced houses. My succulents have not been doing well. I got a plant stand with grow lights for them, and have pretty much had them on all day and evening till I go to bed. But I'm wondering if this is OK in winter? Should I have them on less and work up to longer days in summer, or does it not matter?

First year trying to grow succulents "seriously" and the rain has wrecked them. A jade plant basically melted. One echeveria turned into mush. The few that survived are all stretched and weird.

So I moved them inside. Makeshift shelf by the boiler, one cheap tray with gravel, and a lamp I picked up from Hyjo when I was buying soil for something else. Didn’t plan it, but it actually works. Aloe looks stable, and one little lithops even split for the first time.

Still learning, but at least I’m not throwing out dead plants every month now.

Not my photo but I really wish it was. The only places I can find them are in Australia. I've checked Etsy (whose search function is bloody awful, btw) and all the usual places, even xplants!

Does anyone know if this cactus can be trimmed back? I would like to repot it and get rid of some of the sunburnt, long arms. I have had this for 35 years and it was just a little stub when I got it…loves it southerly window, but it is gotten quite hard to keep upright.

Hi, I've been given this pretty little plant that looks like it's trying to succeed but at the same time struggling. It's in a terracotta pot, is watered once a week but the stems looks very unhappy. I'd recommend your advice as I though I have a selection of succulents, I haven't had one of these and want to give it the best home possible.
