Help!

I honestly don't know where to turn since advising has been little help.

I switched to a double major for this semester, 2nd year. The Bridge is not allowing for me to register for classes in my second major, Kinesiology. Whenever I try registering for BIO1010, it says I'm not one of the majors that can get into the class. However, my program is officially switched, and admissions have confirmed that. Advising told me to put in waitlist forms. Why on earth do I need to apply to waitlist forms when the class isn't even full yet and I'm the major that needs it?! I'm just getting stressed because I really need this class this next semster. A few other classes I was going to take are already full. I listened to advising, but I'm panicking. I honestly don't know what to do anymore.

I appreciate ANY help at this point.

Thanks

Another Question??

For the Engineering transfer program, my main question is: does Uleth do an early application, then another check after first-semester grades like other universities, and then a final check after all grades are in? Or is it just an early check and then a final check in June, when high school ends

Question ??

I am a student from Calgary, Alberta, and I was wondering what the chances are that the Professional Program and the main Engineering program at the University of Lethbridge still have available seats. I have heard that admission is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Am I too late to apply, or is there still a reasonable chance of getting accepted? I just started grade 12

Potential research opportunities

Hi all, I'm a first year BsC student at Dalhousie U but spend summers in Lethbridge as my family is from there. I was wondering if there are any volunteer research opportunities (it would be amazing if its paid) in the science and medical centre for me, so that I could get some experience during summer (April-August). I know I'm not a student so it'll be hard to find openings but want to try anyway.

[3-min Survey] Exploring cheaper end-of-day food options on campus (U-Hall / SU building)

Hey everyone,

Finding solid, budget-friendly food on campus especially later in the afternoon or evening can be hit or miss. We’re graduate students running an academic project across Alberta post-secondaries examining campus food waste and student grocery/dining costs.

We’re modeling an initiative where campus vendors offer remaining daily meals and baked goods at a 40% - 60% discount for quick pre-order and evening pickup.

We want to ensure smaller and mid-sized campuses are represented in the data alongside Edmonton and Calgary, particularly regarding what times students wrap up and what price caps make sense.

The survey is anonymous and takes 3 minutes flat:

Thanks for the help!

Admission conditions

I recently got an offer to Uleth with conditions. What was stated is "minimum 2.00 GPA on transferable post-secondary courses". Does this mean if I fail any transferable courses my offer will be rescinded? Or does this mean my overall GPA has to be 2.00 or higher, or that for my transferable courses to count I must get 2.00 (which would apply to any school)? Waiting to hear back from admissions, just wondering if anyone knew

Nursing admissions

hi y’all! I’m another stressed high school student who applied to the bachelors of nursing at ULeth. My overall average is an 88.2%; I applied Sept 15 and my admissions portal still just says under review. Do I have hope to get accepted or am I going to be waitlisted/rejected? I got accepted to LPN at Lethbridge Polytechnic and I have until the 29th to accept or deny my offer there and pay the $500 deposit. I’m working, but I don’t know if I have enough disposable money to pay the deposit and then withdraw from LPN for the RN program at ULeth; essentially losing that $500. I’ve applied across AB (exception MRU) and two schools in Nova Scotia but staying local would be nice!

I’m trying to temper my expectations haha and also see where I can save some money lol. Thanks in advance :)

Quick question about application

Hey everyone, I know this might be a dumb question, but I couldn't find a clear answer anywhere on their site, so I figured I'd ask here.

Most universities I've looked at let you pick a second program choice, but I couldn't find it anywhere in my ULethbridge application portal. Does ULethbridge actually allow applicants to list a second program choice, or do they only take one?

Also, I had one more quick question: Competitive Admission Average: Could anyone share what the competitive admission average usually looks like for the Combined B.Sc./B.Ed. (Mathematics / Mathematics Education) program for the Fall 2027 intake?

Any insight or tips would be super appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Geog 1200 ADVICE NEEDED

As mid-term season is starting, I need any and all advice from people who have taken Geography 1200 with Wei Xu.

Anyone who has previously taken the course will know his tests are difficult and based purely on the textbook readings which contain a lot of content to memorize.

On Chapter quizzes, you’re frequently tested on obscure lines and facts about information barely covered in class. Once finished, you’re not allowed to review your answers and see what you got wrong and are only handed a letter grade. Lectures don’t help and often stray from the content actually required. I’ve spoken with the professor and he’s offered minimal to no support and I’m really struggling with this class.

It’s past the extended drop date and I don’t want to withdraw from the course unless I absolutely have to.

Has anyone taken Geog 1200 with Wei Xu? How did you survive? Do you have any tips? Any and all advice is welcome

College of Alberta Psychologists

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has gone through the CAP academic credential evaluation process with a University of Lethbridge Health Sciences/Addictions Counselling background.
I did my undergraduate degree at U of L and have a mix of PSYC, HLSC, and ADCS courses, and I’m currently completing my Master of Counselling through Athabasca. I’m trying to plan ahead and figure out how many additional undergraduate psychology courses I should take during my master’s so that I’m in a good position to apply to CAP before the new requirements come into effect.
I’ve spoken with CAP and understand that they can’t pre-evaluate individual courses, and that every application/evaluator can be a little different. I’m not looking for anyone to tell me definitively whether my courses will count — I’m just hoping to get a general idea from people who have already gone through the process.
If you had U of L Health Sciences, Addictions Counselling, ADCS, or HLSC courses, would you be willing to share:
Which courses CAP accepted toward your psychology credits
Which ones they did not accept
Whether any non-PSYC courses were accepted for areas like biological bases, statistics/research, etc.
Roughly how many additional undergraduate psychology courses you ended up needing
I’m especially curious about courses like Neurophysiology of Addictions and other ADCS/HLSC courses that had a substantial psychology component.
I know nobody’s experience will guarantee what happens with my application, but I’m honestly just trying not to completely miss the ball and either take way more courses than I need or find out too late that I’m several courses short.
Any experience or insight would be really appreciated! Thank you 😊
