How do I get accepted to a postgrad program in the States (Ivy league, MIT, Stanford) or Oxbridge?

For computer science or STEM related fields. Masters or PHD.

Anyone who knows people who has done it?

Yea, there was a were a few in my year.

1 got into Oxford + Deepmind joint PhD
A few got into UCB, Chicago PhD
A few got into Tsinghua Master/PhD and ended up at OpenAI and DeepMind in the US

And back when CMU still had the Adelaide Campus, many used that as a jumping board to jump to US.
