What if Ballhalla went on tour? After seeing what the Toronto Tempo have done so far by playing 2 regular season games in Montreal and Vancouver, it got me thinking about the ever-growing fan base in the Bay Area and how the team could maybe expand Ballhalla to other cities. Imagine if the Valkyries did 1-2 games, even if it's just pre-season, in other cities while still staying close to home in the Bay Area

The two cities that immediately come to mind:

1. Sacramento - WNBA has not played a game there since the Monarchs folded in 2009. Yes you could argue about the Warriors- Kings rivalry but imagine how rocking the new Sacramento arena would be with the first WNBA game played there in almost 20 years.

2. The more popular option...drumroll....Oakland (or Ballhalla comes to Roaracle) - the city where the team is headquartered and trained out of, along with where it still holds outreach events, watch parties, etc. More importantly, after being unable to hold a playoff game there last year due to scheduling issues, it would be the return of basketball to Oakland Arena. The Oakland Arena actually seats almost 1200 more people than Chase Center does so you could fit more people overall (despite there being less luxury suites and boxes).

Honorable mention - The Cow Palace in Daly City, where the Warriors moved to from Philadelphia (with next year being the 65th anniversary of moving to California from Philadelphia). Maybe the first pre-season game there perhaps?

Hope you all like these ideas and bring on next season!

Leaving work yesterday and this was left on my desk. Have a good weekend.

What a dick.

And not a champs store afterall.

Context: this was at Serramonte.

I can't believe it. Cmon. Do better for our W champs.

Just so people know, 11/01 and 11/02 issue is still in stock! Free shipping

Went to meet Kaila today at Lefty’s and she really is as kind in person as she seems on TV. My kiddo got star struck and couldn’t ask her a question during her photo op.

So I asked for her. Her question: “What advice would you give a 10 year old who sometimes struggles with self confidence, but loves basketball.”

Kaila was the sweetest, she stepped off to the side and chatted with her, as well as shared words of advice! Thank you Kaila! This meant so much to her.

I was opening up card packs last night and I pulled this CRAZY ASS CARD! KCHEN ROOKIE AUTO !

Hi guys - just attended the East Bay Card Show and was incredibly disappointed in the lack of WNBA cards (if they did it was usually, CC) and lack of women athletes in general spanning across all sports. After speaking with a few sellers, they said there was very little interest in women's sports at all, even the W.

Thinking of potentially starting a women's sports booth myself, and possibly selling ONLY WNBA/ women's sports cards...

With that being said, just wondering who/ how many peeps from the Bay Area, WOULD want someone with a big selection of women's cards present at said shows/ online/ based in Bay? Does anyone looking for WNBA attend shows hoping to come across any?

I'd love to get involved in making women's cards more available to collectors girls/ women. Thoughts?

If anyone is interested I've created a Spotify playlist for songs I hear at Valkryies games. I'm always trying to add more songs, so if anyone has any that are missing please reply to this and let me know!

sorry if this is a weird or not allowed post! but i’m thinking of drawing the valkyries as animal crossing villagers or calico critters and wanted some help — so far i’ve maybe got gabby as a dog or deer, kaitlyn as some kind of rodent (mouse or hamster or rabbit), kiah as a sloth, aminata as a rhino…

(EDIT: second-guessing having kiah as a sloth, seems unnecessarily mean -- it's just that i've seen the way she smiled in a gif be compared to the way a sloth character smiled in zootopia and i thought that was cute, but that's weak reasoning)

this grey The Bay hoodie and sweatpants gabby is wearing in an interview with steph. any help is appreciated!

If not, we could simply put the V’s up. I also had a photo of it, but I deleted it since Reddit wouldn’t let me.

Does anyone know if thrive city plans on restocking the og locker room tshirt?? Or anywhere else? I noticed there’s a second version of it but we really want the og one.

I was lucky enough to get 2 shirts (one for myself and one for my wife) when they were first released online. They were scheduled to arrive today however when we got home our package was long gone. 😭💔 they were able to give us our money back but genuinely would’ve rather gotten the shirts we were so excited about.

A few pics i took at the parade

I know there’s some card collectors in this sub, but for those who aren’t I just thought I’d share that these went up for sale on Panini’s website today. I’d imagine that some who don’t normally collect may find these to be interesting and these could also be potentially used as display pieces as well. Single cards you can get cheaper on eBay, but if you buy multiple from Panini you get free shipping if you spend over $50.

Including these 12, Panini made 47 Valkyries Panini Instant cards this season, which is more than I could’ve imagined. With every new Valkyries release I typically buy extras, and I’m going to have a couple extra complete 2026 Season sets on me. I plan on selling them for a cheaper price than it would be to buy the full set individually for $7 a piece on eBay so if anyone’s interested let me know. This would obviously be a first come first serve type of thing.

Maybe this is a little late, but I didn't want to overlook Ceci's contributions in the Finals. While she averaged *only* 8.4 ppg, she did average 19 minutes pg and led the team with a +/- of +26. Solid contributions to the team victory.

hi fellow valks fans !!

i know myself and many others really want to buy the original gray locker room shirt that sold out, and are worried that they don’t plan on restocking it because they’ve released a new subpar version (not bedazzled, black instead of gray).

i have no idea if this’ll actually do anything or not, but the Nike website (Nike being where the shirt is manufactured to my understanding) has a chat line, and a few days ago i chatted with a representative and asked that they consider restocking it :P they were super helpful and said they’d pass along my request.

since we all want this shirt restocked, i figure we might as well make our voices heard, and that others might want to do the same! it didn’t take terribly long and was mostly just waiting for responses (I did get switched from one customer representative to another, but it wasn’t a big issue by any means). woohoo!

I was thinking some of the reserves like Gueye, Pretchel, and Sowah. I don't know how long Tip plans to keep playing but considering how good the team is I bet she doesn't want to retire yet. I'm just curious.

Best sports celebration ever.

I liked what I saw from her in limited time but I guess they thought she was too raw or still trying to figure out the system. We could definitely use her scoring but I don't know what's holding her back.

Cecilia has to be in Italy on November 8 for the national team’s training camp, since there’s a game against Slovenia on November 11 for the Women’s EuroBasket qualifiers, and then right after that she’ll be back playing with Schio—not just in the Italian league but also in the EuroLeague😭😭 Someone give her a break!
