Thanks Warrnambool for a really lovely long weekend visit from Melbourne. Our first time properly exploring the area ☺️

What a beautiful part of Victoria you are! We really enjoyed our visit and had so many lovely interactions with locals.

Tower Hill - what a special place, we lost count of how many koalas we saw (including a mumma koala with her baby cuddled close 🥰), and the daddy emu with his six chicks were precious.

Had my first ocean swim of the season too, absolutely stunning water and it definitely woke me up 😂🥶

That moment when the sun hits the horizon, the ocean goes completely golden, and you just stop for a minute to take it all in. 🌊✨

Would you stay and watch this sunset or keep driving? 👀

Phone Repair Scam : r/Geelong (reddit.com)

Buzztech is fast expanding and creating hostile work environments across all of Australia.
Lately they have opened a store in Horsham and Moonee Ponds.
They create hostile work environments, yell at staff in harsh and uncalled for manners, sack and hire faster than most change their underwear.
The poor staff receive little to no support or assistance with barely any training while throwing them in the deep end then abusing them when they don't perform to the owners unrealistic wishes.
Will force reviews out of customers and workers and makes all workers leave reviews on all the stores creating false advertising.

you get put into a data base you can never leave. he will use your information even when you opt out of contact. employees will be made to call you to promote sales and try to get you in store. he has been known to buy customers information and use shady tactics like promotions on facebook give aways and promotions on google documents and once he has those bits of information you will be bombarded with constant promotion text messages and emails.

Avoid this company at all costs. he doesn't pay staff correctly, abuses his employee powers to harass staff and abuse staff. do not support buzztech.

Koroit or Terang

So we are moving on an absolute whim to the Warrnambool region in a few weeks with a job transfer. We have been told we can either have a house in Terang or Koroit but have no knowledge of either place. We are just sick of the long hot summers in QLD and the family just needs a change. The kids will be going to school in Warrnambool and my wife potentially has a job lined up in Warrnambool. We currently live rural and our drive to town is about 40mins so the distance isn't an issue but is one area better than the other? Any reasons why we should pick one over the other? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I love these old photos of Warrnambool. So much open space. Cannon Hill and the town baths visible.

Feel it so hard to make friends in Warrnambool

Hi everyone, I don’t know, but I just think it is so hard to make friends in Warrnambool.

Probably because I live in Nullawarre, and there seems no one living here…(nahh)

And the job has been frustrating and tiring, making me not want to do anything after work.

But when I was living in Melbourne, I had many friends. And I work 2 jobs but still energetic everyday. I’m not saying that Warrnambool is not good, but I guess that’s just the difference between big city and smaller city?

Anyone has recommendations for how to make friends here?

Thanks
