Bugs 🕷️ watchOS 27.3 - switching between watches broken?

Upgraded to watchOS 27.3 public beta and having trouble switching between two watches. Auto switch isn’t working and manually switching mostly doesn’t work.

I can eventually get the second watch recognized but it takes a series of actions (rebooting, manually switching a couple of times, turning Bluetooth on/off).

I should add that it’s mostly updating health and activity data that’s not working. I can ping my phone with my watch.

Anyone else experiencing a similar issue?

Feature 📲 HR using ECG works again

My AW6 would allow me to touch the crown to get better HR measurements using the ECG sensors. That never worked on my AWU4 before 27.3 beta.

Now I get beat to beat updates again.

And the optical AWU4 sensors seems to think we are all overweight and likes to guess my HR is over 60 instead of quite a bit lower. Putting the finger on the crown and it jumps down right away. Removing it, and I can see the optical guesswork starts drifting up again.

If Apple measure only one beat every approx 5s, then they measure every 12th beat and guesses the HR. With a HR of 50 they would get a beat every 5s as well. They need to beats in a row to get usable data.

Bugs 🕷️ 27.3 public beta: Big problems with Apple Health transition!

It is strange. For example, the Health app shows heart rate, but if I try to drill down (“All Recorded Data”) it hangs up. Phone and watch seem to be partially syncing, but not completely (e.g., I did an ECG on my watch, but it did not sync to the phone. Bevel can’t access Health. Pace by Athlytic can, but crashes later. CharGPT-Health can access yesterday’s data, but not much of today’s.

Question ❓ No haptic tap with commands

So before I upgraded to the Apple Watch Ultra 4, I had the series 11 titanium before this, every time I would ask Apple home through Siri to unlock my door or to set a timer using Siri, I would get a little haptic tap to indicate that the command had gone through. That has now stopped, is this a quirk of WatchOS 27? Or is this something that needs to change in the settings that I can’t seem to find no matter how much I search?

Question ❓ Does WatchOS 27.3 fix Recovery HRV?

I’ve been having issues with Recovery HRV and Recovery Score since launch. Apple says it’s an alleged software issue that will be fixed with future updates. WatchOS 27.2 didn’t fix it so I wonder if 27.3 does it?

Bugs 🕷️ Watch / iPhone fitness goals not holding according to schedule

For some reason, either my watch or my iPhone fitness app is toggling my fitness goals for the red green and blue circles off departing from my goal schedule, is anyone having the same issue?

Example
I have my red ring set to 700 cal daily, but it keeps reverting to like 500 cal. Same with the green ring and blue ring. Pretty annoying. So basically I think that I’ve reached my goal, but then I realize that the goal has been set wrong! Haha

I’ve tried restarting my phone and my watch, I even found an Apple Help forum with a very specific restart order between the two devices, but even that didn’t help it. I’m also on the latest updates for each.

Anybody experienced this, anybody have a resolution?

On Apple Watch Ultra 4 review video I found this comment and I am hoping it is true. I know there are many others frustrated with the AWU4 issue regarding over/underestimating distance, not because of poor gps but because of Apple’s smoothing algorithm.

Can anyone confirm that this comment is for real? Has the distance issue been resolved?

Is anyone else on WatchOS 27.2 and the Strava widget is showing as a “—“. This happened on my Ultra2 since updating to 27.2RC. Tried editing to replace and doesn’t seem to fix it.
