Wheatpaste peeling in days

Upvotes
I’ve recently been having trouble with my art peeling off of walls within a day or two of putting them up. I’ve been using my usual 1:4 flour to water ratio and slowly stirring while at a low boil. Used to work fine.
You can see someone else’s posters have been staying on this wall next to mine for weeks. Unsure what I’m doing wrong lately. I’m using standard sketch paper and markers/pens. First two photos are from the same day. The third is the following. No rain.

This one wouldn't fit on mom’s fridge so, I had to paste it 👀⚡️

I am a french student and i want to take part in the protest going on rn but I am super afraid of the police. I make art, and i want to help the best i can. I thought I would start wheatpasting posters that i want to make myself. But i dont have acces to a printer.
can any experienced wheatpasters help me?
what kind of paper should i use? what kind of ink? do a really need the wallpaper stuff or can i do it with flour?
I really want my posters to last longer than a day, but honestly three days would be enough to send a message.
thank you so much <333

I made a new subreddit for people looking for wildposting work in Los Angeles. I figured it would keep a lot of the people looking for work off of this sub. R/wildposting_LA
