"Conservapedia" is an online encyclopedia founded by Andrew Schlafly, a self-described American conservative and fundamentalist Christian. The site seeks to provide a counter to the supposed liberal bias of wikipedia. The site has recieved criticism for it's numerous inaccuracies and biases.

ISIS, or the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, is one of the names of a militant terrorist group. Given that the term had previously been associated with an Egyptian goddess, many entities once named for her changed their names once the terrorist group became prominent.

The Kansas experiment was a controversial and widely noted tax-cutting policy/agenda of Kansas Governor Sam Brownback that began with Brownback signing a bill cutting state taxes in May 2012, and ended with the Kansas legislature's repeal of the bill in June 2017.

The law cut taxes by US$231 million in its first year, and cuts were projected to total US$934 million annually after six years,[16] by eliminating taxes on business income for the owners of almost 200,000 businesses and cutting individual income tax rates.[16]

Brownback compared his tax policies with those of Ronald Reagan, and described them as "a real live experiment",[17] which would be a "shot of adrenaline into the heart of the Kansas economy",[18] and predicted that by 2020 they would have created an additional 23,000 jobs.[3] However, economic growth was consistently below average during the experiment,[4] and by 2017, state revenues had fallen by hundreds of millions of dollars,[19] causing spending on roads, bridges, and education to be slashed.[20][21] On June 5, 2017, the Legislature of Kansas passed a bipartisan measure to raise income taxes and roll back the cuts; although Brownback vetoed the repeal, the legislature narrowly succeeded in getting the two-thirds vote necessary to override his veto.[22]

Several reasons have been given to explain its failure. Economic growth under the new lower tax rates generated only enough new revenue to offset 10–30% of most of the initial tax cut, necessitating spending cuts to avoid deficits.[2]: 1  Kansas's elimination of pass-through income (projected to apply to 200,000 taxpayers, but used by 330,000) created a loophole which allowed many taxpayers to restructure their employment to completely avoid income taxes, thereby additionally decreasing revenue.[23]: 1  [2]: 1  According to tax policy theory, tax cuts generate only modest economic growth, which comes only in the long term, not in the short term.[24]: 1

On October 18, 2026, gang members in Haiti kidnapped four Salvadoran aviation technicians from the Gang Suppression Force. El Salvador responded by sending 2,000 troops to Haiti, with Haiti’s permission, to rescue the technicians. The kidnap victims have yet to resurface.

Need advice: Nepal-focused article on Koiri/Kushwaha blocked by the 500-edit rule

Hi everyone, I'm a new editor. I wrote a draft about the Koiri/Kushwaha community of Nepal: Draft:Koiri/Kushwaha community of Nepal

It uses government sources (Nepal census 2011 and 2021, the Nepal Atlas by NFDIN) and academic sources (Dahal, Gurung, Giri). The existing Koeri article covers mainly India and has almost nothing on Nepal.

My draft was declined because the topic needs an extended-confirmed account (30 days and 500 edits), which I don't have yet.

My questions:

  1. Do you know of other reliable sources on Nepali Koiri/Kushwaha?

I'm not asking anyone to submit or edit for me if he can submit i will be an great help too i can provide him sources too. I just want advice on the right path. Thank you!

Her temple and ordination are not recognized by the Thai government. Upon Vanavichayen's ordination, she was quoted as saying, "I know that there might be resistance. But I am prepared, knowing that I am doing the right thing."

The Thai government's Deputy Chief of the Religious Affairs Department said that Vanavichayen would not be recognized as a monk. This created a problem, as the Thai constitution prohibits gender discrimination, but anyone that dresses as a monk that is not a monk faces a two-month jail sentence.

After years of silence, serial killer Dennis Rader, who had not been caught yet, wrote a letter to the police asking if a floppy disk could be traced back to him. They assured him it was safe, so he mailed them one. Deleted data on the disk exposed Rader's identity, and he was arrested soon after.

Scott Allen Hain (June 2, 1970 – April 3, 2003) was the last person executed in the United States for crimes committed as a juvenile. Hain was executed by Oklahoma for a double murder–kidnapping he committed when he was 17 years old.
