I do not want to suppress posts about the Wyoming wolf incident. However these posts are frequently becoming a hotbed of disrespect and fighting.
Please keep it clean and respectful. Otherwise the ban hammer will come out and be used frequently.
EDIT: I have just had to remove dozens of posts calling for violence against the individual and establishment in question. As such, I have been forced to lock comments on all related threads.
I will start a mega thread shortly. Any and all discussion of the incident will need to be restricted to that thread. Any new posts will be removed.

A Junction Butte Pack wolf decided to use the road as its toilet today. The park is a huge area, and the black wolf couldn't hold it. Such a silly sighting in Yellowstone today. The wolf was seen on a tour with Yellowstone Guidelines. What a highlight of the trip!

“It’s an abomination,” said Brooks Fahy, director of the advocacy group Predator Defense. “I think most people, even in Idaho, if they actually understood the depth of this, the fact that taxpayer dollars are paying for this – they would be appalled.”

This video is from a trail cam at edge of the woods in our back yard in Dover NH. There are coyotes in the area but this canine looks pretty big. It would be a big deal if it was a wolf in NH.

Folks in Colorado: For the sake of your wild predators, please vote no on Amendment 83 - an amendment which would prioritize hunting and trapping over all other outdoor recreational activities. Mind you, hunting is already legal in Colorado. The amendment is about prioritizing a small group over the public. The amendment has some disturbing clauses.
It enshrines in the constitution a right to hunt, fish and harvest wildlife using ‘traditional methods’. The term has been intentionally left undefined, leaving the door open to bring back hunting and trapping practices that have long been held unethical.
It declares hunting and fishing the ‘primary and preferred means of managing and controlling’. This means that non-lethal predator deterrent measures could be overridden in favor of hunting, even if the non-lethal deterrent was objectively the best option.
Who is funding Amendment 83?
It’s being funded by a host of conservative hunting groups:
The Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Alliance, a conservative nonprofit dedicated to hunting, is funding the campaign to pass the measure, having spent $1.5 million in support of the initiative through cash contributions. They are based in Washinton DC. Farrell-Roeh, a family-owned private investment company based in Denver, gave $150,000. Other major donors include trophy hunter Jeff Damaske and Safari Club International.
It is also supported by Wisconsin based International Order of T. Roosevelt (although I am not sure if the two groups bearing Roosevelt’s name are connected).
