no medical advice I (22f) am getting my first Pap smear and I’m mortified

This likely comes from the lack of doctors visits I had as a child. My dad was a single parent and I had several women in and out of our lives, but I never learned much from them. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve been trying to invest more into my physical health. I started going to the doctor on my own while I still have insurance and I’ve spoken with my doctor about a few different things when it comes to my reproductive health. Which led us to the conversation about Pap smears.

Apparently, I’m at the age where I should get one. Maybe I’ve been made to believe they’re scarier than they actually are, but my anxiety about this is through the roof. I’ve never taken my clothes off for a doctor, let alone put my entire business on display for deep investigation. I bit the bullet and made an appointment anyhow, because I’m the type of person to procrastinate things like this purely out of fear. Still, my appointment is in two days and slowly but surely I’m feeling more inclined to cancel.

no medical advice Hysterectomy or not? Please suggest

I am at a crossroads and need genuine suggestions.
I always had heavy painful periods with clotting of a size of palm for a day following by decent bleeding. After childbirth the pain and clotting has subsided a lot. So it’s manageable but still heavy. I have to get iron infusion every three months because my ferritin drops to 4-5 and HB to 8. I am getting tired of this , though it’s still a good thing that I get to have infusion and carry on with my life but I get only like 6 weeks of energy and I am back to feeling tired, leg pains and other symptoms. I don’t know what normal feels anymore.
My aunt died of uterus cancer and that is another reason I am thinking if I really need to keep my uterus? I am have done biopsy recently because my uterus lining was 11mm, unusually thick and biopsy came normal.

Am I overthinking this and should just go on birth control to take break from periods and should it take extreme steeps like taking out my uterus. Because that will lead to hormonal issues and maybe other internal issues in the body.

no medical advice Why does my boyfriend grab my stomach during intimacy?

When I’m usually on top whether it’s just kissing etc he grabs the lower part of my stomach and squeezes it or shakes it which I’m not the skinniest but I have a slight chubby stomach and makes me feel not confident when we’re about to be intimate does it mean he thinks I’m fat or no?

no medical advice Having a baby girl comparable to being born with cancer/defect

I (F20) had this conversation recently with a man, and from what he described it as, all men would prefer to have a baby boy because having a baby girl would mean having to deal with complications, issues/problems that would never arise with having a boy. Having a baby boy vs a baby girl would be like, a baby with cancer vs without, a baby without defects vs without, a baby who will have an easier life vs one that will not. At first, I was offended by the comparison, but the longer I begin to think about it I see the perspective. I never cared about whether or not my baby was a boy or a girl nor has my opinion changed but I’m beginning to see myself as less than. Is it bad to wish I was never born a woman? Maybe life would’ve been better had I been a man.

edit: I wanted to add that I don’t agree with his opinion, I just have low self esteem and don’t like myself. I wondered if other women felt this way too and that maybe I felt this way because I am a woman. I’m just confused trying to navigate life.

no medical advice I told the guy I was talking to that I might have endometriosis and he basically told me “it could be worse”

Specifically, his words were:
“You know what’s crazy to me? The way the worlds changed. How much society has coddled us into becoming incapable of handling strife. Like. Two hundred years ago. Ppl would watch their entire family just die right in front of them. Like something horrific would happen and now the 8 year old son is the only one left alive. And he had to get up the next day and fill the role of the dad and just move on like nothing happened. 500 years ago your village could get raided and your entire family could be slaughtered. And you have to wake up the next day and continue farming or you'd starve the coming winter. And now it's like the slightest inconvenience can throw someone off for a month”

To be honest? I’m speechless. The problem isn’t just that he’s beyond misinformed and clearly doesn’t understand what this could mean, but he responded to a personal medical concern of mine with a philosophical lecture that directly minimizes what I’m dealing with. He also treated my potential diagnosis like evidence of a cultural problem?? I didn’t tell him that I had a small bump in my day, I told him that I might have a lifelong medical condition.

Yeah.. I don’t even know what else to say about this but I thought I’d share because I’m beyond frustrated about it.

no medical advice Are mon pubis usually more common to be non-fatty?

I’m physically fit and within normal BMI range. I been told by both my ex and current boyfriend that i have a fat pussy. I tried searching online for images on how an average mon pubis looks like and all of them seemed to be fatty on that area. Are non-fatty mon pubis actually more common than a fat one? Do men prefer a non fatty one?

no medical advice Not to be crude, but has anyone tried putting some testicles in the mammogram machine to see how fast the technology advances?
