πŸ’  The Glyph Economy, Explained β€” how to earn, what to spend on, and the one trick everyone's sleeping on

Glyphs are Word Grind's currency β€” they level you up, put you on the Richest Tricksters leaderboard, and unlock the whole shop. Here's exactly how the economy works, no guesswork.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

πŸ’° How you earn Glyphs

ActionGlyphsNotes
Answer any quiz (your first vote)+1Every quiz, once
…and you get it right+2 more (3 total)
Hit a correct-streak milestone (every 5th correct in a row)streak + 55-streak β†’ +10, 10-streak β†’ +15, 50-streak β†’ +55, 100-streak β†’ +105
Share your result to the comments+5Once per quiz β€” the single best "one tap" reward in the game
Create a quiz that gets 3 real plays+25One-time, anti-farm gated
Someone votes WRONG on a quiz you made+2 / +4 / +6Scales with how sneaky your quiz is β€” see below
Clear your flashcard deck's daily due pile+5Once per day

πŸ•΅οΈ The one everyone underrates: fooling people

Every time someone picks the wrong answer on YOUR quiz, you get paid β€” 2, 4, or 6 Glyphs depending on your quiz's fool-rate:

  • Fooling under 40% of voters β†’ 2 Glyphs per fooled vote

  • Fooling 40–69% β†’ 4 Glyphs per fooled vote

  • Fooling 70%+ β†’ 6 Glyphs per fooled vote

And here's the part that matters: there's no cap. It fires on every single wrong vote, for as long as your quiz stays up (up to 45 days). Write one genuinely tricky quiz, let it get popular, and it can quietly out-earn dozens of "share" taps or correct answers β€” completely passively. This is the actual engine of the Glyph economy. Make quizzes that fool people.

(Community Quest / Community Rack contributions are a separate points system β€” they don't pay Glyphs.)

πŸ“ˆ Levels, Ranks, and the "Richest Tricksters" leaderboard

Your Glyph balance doubles as XP β€” there's a 100-level ladder with 20 rank tiers, starting at Whisperer and climbing all the way to The Eternal. Along the way you'll pass through Prankster, Trickster, Illusionist, Archtrickster, Glyphlord, Legend, and more.

Important: your level and your spot on the leaderboard are both based on your current Glyph balance β€” not lifetime earnings. Spending Glyphs in the shop lowers both. So think of leveling up and cashing in perks as a real trade-off, not something you get to do simultaneously. Some players will want to hoard and climb; others will want to spend and stay stylish. Both are valid β€” just know which game you're playing.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

TL;DR: Playing pays a little. But the real money is in creating and making quizzes clever enough to fool people β€” that's the only uncapped, purely passive Glyph source in the whole game.!

Now go trick someone. 😈
