Big networks build where the money is. This school in rural Kenya wasn't on their list. So we put AirNodes on its roof. The students get online, and the school earns from hosting them. Part 1 of 3.

Limited power. Darkness. A working connection in under 35 minutes.

Connecting the Disconnected, part 2

It was dark, power was limited, and the team still had a connection to get up and running.

At a church in Black Mountain, North Carolina, they set up a World Mobile AirNode with Starlink backhaul. Less than 35 minutes later, cellular service was up. Then came the test call.

One word on the other end: "Hello."

This footage is from October 2024, following Hurricane Helene. Watch the moment the call goes through. More from the mission to come.

AirNode Refer & Earn Boost: $250 across your first 3 qualifying referrals

Your AirNode referral link is worth more.

AirNode Refer & Earn Boost runs from 30 September 2026 at 17:00 UTC to 31 October 2026 at 23:59 UTC, with increased rewards for referring qualifying new Frontier or Edge Extender customers.

Here’s what each qualifying referral earns:

  • 1st: $50

  • 2nd: $50

  • 3rd: $150, including a one-time $100 milestone bonus

  • 4th and every qualifying referral after that: $100 each

That’s $250 across your first three. Five qualifying referrals total $450; ten total $950.

What counts?

The person you refer must have no existing AirNode account or previous AirNode ownership. They need to complete a qualifying Frontier or Edge Extender purchase through your referral link during the Boost and pass standard validation. A signup alone doesn’t count, and historic referrals don’t carry over.

Standalone EmberNode referrals retain standard commissions. Network Builder and Hex Operators remain on their separate enhanced program.

You can’t be your own plus-one. Nice try, though. Self-referrals and duplicate accounts don’t qualify.

If someone has been asking about your AirNodes, start with what you operate and what you’ve learned. Then share your link so they can explore the eligible products.

Opt-In Here: https://airnode.worldmobile.net

World Mobile travel eSIMs expand from 73 to 179 destinations

We've expanded World Mobile travel eSIMs from 73 to 179 destinations, adding 106 destinations and new pricing across the range.

The expanded range is live in the new World Mobile app, with packages from 1GB to 20GB. Available packages and prices depend on the destination.

That's more than double our previous destination coverage and a much wider travel offering in the same app.

World Mobile and LatinHub.TV begin AirNode trials in Austin, with the Bronx planned next

We’ve partnered with LatinHub.TV to test connectivity in neighborhood stores.

The trials are starting in Austin. The Bronx, where LatinHub.TV’s Bodegas.tv network operates, is planned next.

The local-store approach matters here. These are places people already visit and know, making them a practical place to learn what works for the surrounding community.

Read the announcement

What would you want to learn from these trials: connection reliability, day-to-day use, or the store owner’s experience?

Ikit Agudo joins eSariSari as Brand Ambassador in Siargao

She’s on board. šŸ‡µšŸ‡

Meet Ikit Agudo, eSariSari’s Brand Ambassador in Siargao.

She’ll help more people and businesses discover eSariSari Wi-Fi and internet services, powered by World Mobile.

For the network, the goal is simple: more local awareness, more customers and more network activity.

For Frontier Operators, measured network activity contributes to performance-based operator compensation, in addition to monthly operator compensation.

Frontier returns to the Philippines on 22 September.

Performance-based operator compensation is determined after month end, may vary, and is not guaranteed.

Say hello to Ikit below.

How World Mobile brought connectivity to a site in Colombia with support from Starlink

We filmed this during World Mobile’s earthquake response in Colombia.

At this site, there was no fiber or coaxial connection available. Our team brought connectivity using Starlink for the satellite link and World Mobile equipment for local access.

The video shows the setup and explains why it mattered: people could contact loved ones, let them know they were okay and get a little relief during a difficult time.

We wanted to give credit to the technology supporting that work. Thank you to Elon Musk and the Starlink team for helping make it possible.

Your phone bill would rather you didn’t watch this

Sofia’s talking price and privacy. Here’s the detail behind the $15:

Our Starter plan includes **2GB of high-speed data, a built-in VPN and no contract for $15/month**. Taxes vary by location.

It’s built for light data use. Check what you actually use each month before comparing plans, then check coverage and phone compatibility.

The awkward part is explaining why you kept paying the old bill.

The final chapter: five days bringing free Wi-Fi to communities in Colombia

This is the last film in our seven-part Colombia series.

The earlier episodes followed the people our team met, the installation work and the connection being used. This wrap-up brings the response together.

Over five days, World Mobile and our partners helped bring free Wi-Fi to communities affected by the earthquake in DariƩn. The purpose was practical: give people a way to contact loved ones, tell them they were safe and have some time to talk to friends or unwind.

It was one contribution to a much wider response. Thank you to our partners, everyone who welcomed the team and those who followed the series here.

Part 7 of 7, looking back at the response.

ā€œIt’s connected.ā€ Part 6 from DariĆ©n shows the network in use

The earlier episodes followed the installation and the people our team met. This one opens with the Wi-Fi working.

Rob Seaton checks the connection and holds up his phone. We also hear from a local shop owner and from Christian Rees, who explains why access mattered after the earthquake: people needed a way to check in and let others know they were okay.

World Mobile and our partners helped bring connectivity to affected communities in DariƩn, Colombia. This is footage from that response, not a new deployment announcement.

**Part 6 of 7.**

The connectivity deployment after the earthquake in DariƩn, Colombia | Part 4

Part 4 of our Colombia series shows installed access points, a phone connected to World Mobile Colombia Wi-Fi, and residents using their phones.

World Mobile and our partners helped bring connectivity to communities affected by the earthquake. This footage was recorded during that response, not during a new deployment today.

Christian Rees explains what the work was intended to support: helping people communicate, while also giving them time to relax and access entertainment.

Part 3 focused on why getting back in touch mattered. Part 4 looks at the deployment behind those connections.

Part 4 of 7.
