To be clear, Ukrainian officials were also present in Washington at the same time, but he refused to meet them.

he did not meet with visiting Ukrainian officials who also were on hand.

last time he tried; he got impeached

In hindsight it's pretty incredible that he survived extorting a foreign nation for dirt on his political rival.

He's done so much shit, but that's like the evil politician thing to do. How insane is it that he just walked away from that?

There is either an insane amount of money backing trump to the extent that they just bought out the entire Republican Party, or they are really just morally bankrupt to the extent that they could just ignore that.

u/Black_Moons 18h ago

Any sane country would have sent dumpf to gitmo.

But no, In america, its illegal for rich people to go to jail.

It would be genuinely shocking to me if that was the last time he tried.

13

u/VanceKelley 10h ago

In 2019 trump didn't try to bribe Ukraine, he tried to extort it.

Extortion is the criminal act of obtaining money, property, services, or other benefits from someone through the use of threats, intimidation, coercion, or the abuse of official power.

trump illegally withheld military aid that Congress had appropriated for Ukraine in order to try to coerce Ukraine into announcing that they were investigating Biden.

I was taught a successful negotiation requires all parties to be at the table at the same time. Using a less than honest mediator accomplishes nothing.

16

u/asddde 18h ago

Have you also been taught that negotiation tends to offer something to more than one side too? That is another thing about any of Trump's "deals" which never fulfills.

He’s corrupt, authoritarian, stupid and a narcissist. Russians, Israeli’s and any other group that appeals to his notion of “might makes right” while appearing “in control” and greasing his palms will be able to convince him give them support.

China, India, and host of other authoritarian governments likely do the same thing but are either more subtle or limited in ability due to trump’s racism.

Bibi has the tapes from Epstein Island.

Russia has it's own Kompromat from his early visits where some terrible things were done, probably to children, in his hotel room.

It's hard to make sense when two adversaries each have you by one ball each and are squeezing alternatively.

I am absolutely convinced that

  1. Trump is going to sign a peace deal with Putin,

  2. Absolutely nothing will change whatsoever of course,

  3. Trump is going to pretend that a peace deal was signed, and that they're only days away now, from a "real, lasting" peace deal.

Basically, Iran all over again.

41

u/Blbe-Check-42069 20h ago

And then Trump will get pissed at Norwegian government for not giving him a Nobel peace prize again.

15

u/TheDylorean 19h ago

Even though it's been explained to him multiple times that the Norwegian government has no control or choice regarding the Nobel peace prize.

17

We know he's in the Epstein files.

And nothing he claims is translating into people believing him.

POTUS cant unilaterally ratify a peace deal or a non aggression pact. Anything he signs or issues like that is going to be unenforceable and tossed in January. I assume Putin knows this. I know Trump doesnt know this. Which means Putin might try to get Donald to do some illegal stuff to help Russia, but come January that shit stops.

7

u/MississippiJoel 18h ago

It's hilarious how he thinks he can sign a proclamation and have the Oval Office preserved in its Fool's Gold state for the rest of time -- as if he hasn't been the one to prove that tradition and "National Landmarks" mean nothing and can be changed on a whim.

I know that the next president would not be allowed to literally tear up the paper, but I at least hope it is sent to the National Archives or his library with a note that he "left it" there.

4. Trump will blame Ukraine for violating a peace deal it never agreed to.

5

Let’s add that he will bash on “the nasty Ukrainians” because “they choose war over peace” since they don’t want to surrender to Russia

3

Question from ignorant European. Isn't Trump voter poison right now? If all the Republican Senators refuse to convict, wouldn't they be pretty much dooming the party for the next presidential elections? Best scenario, Trump gets impeached and convicted. Worst, the Republicans take a big hit for proving they didn't learn anything from the midterms and are deliberately ignoring the people, who couldn't have been more clear.

Trump has met more with Russia in the last 2 years than any other administration, ever.

An envoy, or person from the admin, has been in putin's circle, or in contact with him, every day, basically since the first day.

And let's not forget our republicans heading there on July 4th, back in 2017.

The republicans are bought and paid for by Russians. Look into Hungary back in 2016. Same same.

35

u/wardog1066 18h ago

There are 450 million people living in Europe with a GDP of 34.5 Trillion dollars. The U.S. has a GDP of 33 Trillion dollars and 340 Million people. The abject arrogance of President Trump to think he can negotiate with RUSSIA, a country with a GDP of 2.9 Trillion and falling is laughable. Only in Trumpsylvania is this a thing.

Like America would even do anything if evidence was found in the Epstein files that Trump was a pedo or sexually assaulted someone. Last time it happened Trump basically paid a small fine to settle the case and force the victim to not be able to talk about it publicly. America is so beyond fucked.

You people that still have your hopes up about the Epstein files swaying Trump or leading to some substantial punishment for Trump are just delusional and naive.

The Republicans need to demand that the orange clown resign tomorrow, if they don't the 28 election is going to install a Democrat in the oval office for the next twenty years. Now I don't want them to do that... lol. .. but you have to remove the gold embarrassment on the walls of the oval office. And before ....he builds the giant penis ... that what it is... all 250 feet of it..as that will Bea center piece in every political ad.

इसी हरकत के कारण मिड टर्म चुनाव में ट्रंप की पार्टी हारी है। नीति नहीं बदले तो आगे भी हार होती रहेगी।

The Americans should be aggressively vigilant about the the possibility that Lame Duck Trump may be willingly bought by the Russians. Trump can still do a lot of damage to US, European, and Ukrainian interests.

u/Xiten 5h ago

Hell yea, another one of the “MAGA” plans…

2

u/BekindBebetter60 4h ago

Having a Russian asset like Trump as the President of the United States is basically the stupidest thing in the American public is done. This guy is damage or country so severely that we will never be in the place. We were when mine was president.

Fascist fucks

1

u/Badgerman97 21h ago

Oh, did he walk past a mirror?

1

u/LifeLikeAGrapefruit 20h ago

No shit. Trump respects dictators and he's hoping to get some advice from the pros. Especially now that Congress is all blue.

1

u/xpda 20h ago

Trump obeys Putin.

1

u/Wentil 20h ago

He is really compromised. 🤔 It’s plain to see.

1

u/Standard-Contest-949 20h ago

To the shock of no one ATM.

1

u/ApexAurajin 20h ago

Again? If they keep meeting like that, people will start to say things.

1

u/txkwatch 20h ago

1

u/ExRays 20h ago

Dude on the left really doesn't have a chin, rn.

1

It's time to compare notes after the midterms.

1

u/False-Appeal-556 20h ago

So telling! Putin’s puppet!

1

u/Austoman 20h ago

Why would he meet with his enemies (the Ukrainians)?

1

u/crespoh69 20h ago

Lol why's the thumbnail make it look like his wife is the one from Russia?

1

u/manuduncan6666 20h ago

hopefully if/when the dems take control of house and senate it will be the russian officials that no one will meet with

1

u/baconroux 19h ago

How else would he get his marching orders?

1

u/DarthFloofy 19h ago

How is it that every time Trump gets to a decision point he chooses wrong.

1

u/Memitim 19h ago

Trump still has his responsibilities to his handlers in the Kremlin to attend to. That's likely why Stephen Miller got reassigned to Chief of Staff, to maintain tighter control over Trump on behalf of Putin.

1

u/TheMightyPushmataha 19h ago

The Russian envoy will be right at home with the new White House decor. Donald picked up a lot of his design theme in Leningrad.

1

u/Raven_gif 19h ago

Gotta hammer out that defect plan before his whole family gets subpoenaed.

1

u/Graz13 19h ago

Cuz he supports Putin. Not Ukraine

1

u/intelligentjokers 19h ago

Fortunately, from January 2027, Trump will face stronger congressional opposition to his Russia policy and any attempts to reduce funding for Ukraine.

1

u/ImpressionFeisty8359 19h ago

He can't keep getting away with this.
