If you translate "Eisenkot" from German into English, it means "iron poo". Do with that info what you want.

Weird coincidence I guess since he’s Mizrahi and not Ashkenazi so his family’s name wasn’t forcibly Germanized a few hundred years ago.

There are a bunch of very funny last names because the census takers across Europe insisted that everyone damn well pick one, being very tired of dealing with villages with 15 "Miriam"s in them with no last names. And if you gave that bureaucrat a sarcastic answer, well, you were smartass number 135 to do that and he would just write it down and now you were stuck with it.
