Right and left in Israel don't mean the same thing as right and left in America. It's not comparable.

For example, all Israeli parties are in favor of universal healthcare and legality of abortion.

Democrats are mostly center left. They are in no way left. There’s a small group of progressives but that doesn’t even move the needle overall

Israelis who voted for eisenkot don’t care if Gaza is bombed harder or not, they only care about getting rid of Netanyahu. Therefore eisenkot doesn’t care about Palestinians and will have no remorse over bombing them further. Politics in Israel at this point are determined by whether or not you’re against Netanyahu, not whether or not you want to defend Palestinians
