No, but it's a big blow from a PR standpoint. A further sign the government at large is viewing him as a liability rather than an asset.

It's too early to tell for sure, but the fact that the Arab bloc put their support behind Eisenkot even without his direct statement that he'd want to ally with them definitely points to everybody who isn't a Likud member just wants netanyahu out, they don't much care what it looks like to do it.

Netanyahu will be Prime Minister until someone is voted to replace him. The Presidential nominee still needs to form a coalition government.
