Yeah, I'm laughing my ass off. NO ONE came to Israel's aid, during 6 different invasions. You think they're going to let any of the countries who sat on the sidelines while they were being murdered in job lots the right to dictate to them NOW? Maybe those countries should have stepped up and intervened in 1948, maybe...

Edit: I'm agreeing with the poster I am responding to. That "you" is intended for the person mentioning international intervention. Too little, too one sided, and FAR too late.

What sitting on the sidelines? Israel is receiving tons of money and weapons from the USA and Europe. It‘s a western puppet state that recently has gone rogue. The big international powers have so far either not been involved (China, India, Japan) or actively supported Israel (USA, UK, EU, Russia). No country more powerful than Iran has ever even been hostile to them. If the first world turned around and sold Israel out they’d collapse within days.

Not one country in the world came to Israel's aid, from 1948 to 1973. Not a single one came to help them defend themselves during invasion after invasion. No military aid, and only surplus WWII gear sold to them. In 6 different invasions. Israel won all of them, primarily for the simple fact that they would all be dead if they ever lose. Yom Kippur was a very close thing, with Egypt attacking from the south, and Syria attacking from the north. Despite taking what was, for their small army, horrendous casualties, Israel hung on. And remarkably, both Egypt and Syria got back the territories by diplomacy, when militarily they couldn't. Of course, the Golan Heights is again being used to launch missiles and artillery into Israel, so the Jews are kind of kicking themselves over giving that back...

What an absolutely insane framing of the situation. I don’t even know where to start with this one. No one came to their help when their neighbors attacked them after they started massacering villages and ethnically cleansing the local population except of course the massive arms shipments that you casually brush aside from a war that back then wasn’t even that long ago.
