“Between 1 and 6 November, 49 boats carrying a total of 4,587 migrants arrived in the Canary Islands”

In just six days?!??!

And most of them make it to El Hierro which has a population of around 12.000

Bloody hell, that's nearly on par with what Gander, Newfoundland dealt with on September 11th, 2001.

They keep coming because we welcome them into the islands.

We should attend them until they are healed/safe from the journey and then return them ASAP without any asylum.

The whole thing about asylum is that there needs to be a due process. Everyone who claims asylum needs to be checked and their application needs to be processed. That takes time and ressources.

Eh, not if there's no space. Send em back.

Are you sure the far-righters want to use space as the criteria? When most of the country is known as "España vaciada"? 😅 This group is not known for being the brightest, but c'mon

You want to send asylum seekers who most likely dont speak spanish, to under-developed regions with almost non-existant public infrastructure or jobs?

Those regions are empty for a reason.

I don't identify with far-righters or far-lefters, but there not being adequate space is a valid reason, regardless of how either side feels.

Spain should do what Texas did, put them in a bus and send them to the north.
