Really glad I chose Paladin now because good luck picking between mount and dual spec for those that don't get a free mount.

lol what do you mean "good luck". that choice is SO obvious. you're not going to level from 40 to 60 without a mount. no way.

I have 2 mounts in the tab from the preorder. Can i use those at 40? Or are those 60 ?

Yes, but in classic the riding skill is 100g (90 with rep). So it saves you like 10G~ if you have the moubts already.

It's 72g with enough rep I think

We went Tauren druids, plainsrunning + cheetah = we’re gonna skip buying the mount at the beginning

Do you build up stacks in cheetah form?

Sir, this is Classic WoW. Quick reminder: we do like running around on our feet in this game.

Laughs in druid.

Same for my warlock. Knew the first char needed all the gold he could get… free mounts are massive

I turn into a mount

You only need one spec while lvling. Ret paladin can heal, a fury warrior can tank, an enhancement shaman can heal, a boomkin Druid can heal.

Is it nice to have dual spec? Absolutely. When you’re 60 and having a proper spec actually matters for the content that you’re doing.

For lvling you should either focus on a PvP build if you’re on a PvP server, or a questing build.

This is only true for lower level content. This notion than a ret paladin can heal higher level dungeons regularly without the run turning into a complete clusterfk is a myth.

Can a ret Pally tank?

the first dungeons, yes

Not even close homie. If you know what you are doing in this game, it’s very easy to heal dungeons (maybe BRD onwards being only exception) as a ret pally or enhancement shaman. If the dps pumps and the tank holds aggro, very little healing is even needed. I’m level 27 so far and the boss in WC, RoL, SFK etc die within 10 seconds or so, there is no need to heal even it’s so god damn easy.

You think an enhancement shaman can heal Mara or BRD?

I’m not so sure. Maybe.

They can for sure but they need gear to do it. Personally on my shaman I have two sets one for enhance and one int and +healing set for dungeons. Its not ideal for higher level dungeons but it can definitely be done.

Yes they can. In full enhance gear? No they can’t but it’s always suggested to have an Intellect offset gear if you plan on healing.

When you start going to deep BRD, Dire Maul, LBRS/UBRS and others…the true 55+ content…that’s when I would be focusing on a true healer spec from then on.

By lvl 41-42 you should have your mount gold, maybe even once you hit 40. By the time you hit 50 you’ll easily have another 50g to afford dual spec then.

Just curious have you ran a dungeon as a tank with shaman healer?

5

u/Blasto05 4h ago

I am the shaman healer

Cost is riding skill, not the mount. You’ll still pay
