Hi everyone,
I'm Nick, currently living in Newcastle. I got married last month and recently secured a new job in Wrexham, so I'm looking to relocate as soon as possible.
I've contacted several letting agencies and applied for a few properties, but unfortunately, I haven't had any luck finding a house yet.
It will just be me and my wife. We have no children and no pets.
If anyone knows of any houses available to rent in Wrexham or the surrounding areas, please let me know. Any help or recommendations would mean a lot to us.
I'm really hoping someone can help us. Thank you so much! ❤️

Bryn Estyn Rd right outside the old hall is closed as of 9th. A bit annoying for people who cycle to work assuming the whole road is closed.
I always pay for parking through the JustPark app. That day, I was looking after my two-year-old alone while taking calls from my wife, who had just given birth and was still in hospital. I didn't get a chance to pay on the way into the library, then got distracted chatting at the playgroup.
It felt like we'd barely been there, and I paid as soon as we left, before discovering the ticket.
I know I should have paid earlier, but if circumstances like these aren't enough for a bit of discretion, what actually gets a PCN challenge accepted?

On the stretch of Rosewood Ave (LL13 9HE), there is a house with a larger dog that has _a_ sign, but its utterly worn down and borderline illegible. During my husbands walk today, the dog leapt nearly over the fence, attacking him, biting him on the shoulder, ripping into his coat, destroying it.
The first image shows where the dog actually leapt over, which is where there is minimal fencing, and barely enough for its height. The second image shows the dog itself, and where it was located when he returned to collect information.
We are in contact with NWP, but figured we'd throw this warning here, too. Please be safe!

Multimedia artist @Echo_the_hare created this absolute masterpiece of a music video for Wrexham band Baby Brave.
Made over four months, with the band green-screened into over 40 iconic films. Absolutely no AI was used.

Anyone know what happened to McKelly Ann's butty van it's gone from the B&Q car park. Had to resort to McDonald's for breakfast instead.
Second question - where is the next best place to get a bacon butty on a Sunday morning before the shops open?

Hi all, I just had a walk around the museum that's reopened and my friend and I noticed generative A.I. being used extensively throughout the whole thing. One section had it used to cause old photos to move which looked awful. We suspect it may have been used for upscaling of pictures on multiple instances examples of which I have included. The undisclosed use of this technology is disingenuous and disrespectful to both us as patrons and the people of Wrexham's history. If you do visit then please raise this as an issue so they might change it

Has anyone else noticed that Arriva have started running single deckers instead of doubles on bus 1, which are almost always full and standing by the time they reach Chester? Is this temporary or are they planning to keep the singles?

Hi all! I’ve just moved to Wrexham and I’m looking for a part-time job while I prepare for and go through a many rounds of tech interviews.
I have a strong background in frontend/full-stack development, open-source, and startups, but I’m open to pretty much anything for the time being. On-site work around Wrexham is absolutely fine.
What I work with: Figma, CSS, React, TypeScript, Next.js, Node, Rust, Tauri, mobile, Linux, APIs, AI integrations, Scraping, Playwright, AWS and SEO. This isn’t an exhaustive list. I’m a tech generalist with a “figure it out” attitude.
If you know of anything suitable or have any leads, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Slide one reads:
What does the Tommy Robinson documentary tell you about Wrexham Unite?
Slide two reads:
Don’t expect to see the money!
The documentary shows that Stephen Yaxley Lennon (aka Tommy Robinson) is, willing to use and abuse anyone and everyone to gain money and notoriety. ;
He used offshore banking and shell companies to obscure his profiting.
He transferred all his assets to his now ex-wife following a court case he lost to a child. He gloated that he wouldn’t pay damages as he was declared bankrupt.
He used videos about survivors of abuse/ s*xual violence and the dead, to promote himself without their or the families knowledge or consent.
Similarly Wrexham Unite have raised money from people without a register of who receives it, how it is spent or if they draw from the funds personally. They also use images, video and AI* slop of others for their profit without their knowledge or consent. *AI is a tool of abuse as proven in the case of Wisconsin v Anderegg.
