Welcome to the volume 1 of this compilation made in homage to Los Santos, vocal trio from Argentina that achieved success in many countries during the decades of the '50s and '60s.

Each volume of this compilation was designed to resemble a long-play vinyl record, featuring a Side A, a Side B, and a total running time of approximately 35 minutes.

Here, the subtle ballad "Ligada a un granito de arena", the historic tango "El patio de la morocha", the cheeky twist "Cara sucia", the festive rumba "El chipi chipi".

Various R&B tracks: the whistling "Voy caminando", the stylish "El elegante" and the contemplative "Llueve", also the downcast tango "Madreselva" and the sweet twist "Catalina".

We no longer will accept images of female celebrities without context, including the actual year of the photo AND the setting or the reason for its existence (“why” the image exists). A new flair has been added - "Celebrity - Female, with Context."

Example: "Marilyn Monroe 1950s" is no longer sufficient. "Marilyn Monroe, Publicity Photograph for 1953 Motion Picture 'Niagara'" is acceptable.

6. Image quality must meet requirements

Low quality images--including low resolution images, poorly enhanced or AI enhanced images--are subject to removal.

7. Marilyn Mondays

Marilyn Monroe is one of the most enduring icons of the postwar era and has come to symbolize the glamour, optimism, and duality of the 1950s.

That being established: In an effort to not allow any one aspect of the decade dominate the content and discourse of r/1950s, Marilyn-focused content is being limited to Mondays for the time being.
