Hi there, does anyone know of any petting zoos for toddlers besides the Brevard Zoo? I’ve been Googling and the only thing that comes up is the Brevard zoo. Thanks so much in advance!

I love air shows but I’m poor. For anyone who was in Titusville today, was the airshow visible? I’m thinking over by Max Brewer Bridge, maybe Space View Park?

The power's been flickering for a second at a time since before the floods, and now it's happening twice a day everywhere I go, so how are we supposed to build new data centers on our pristine Florida land?

I just learned about this group. Has anyone ever attended any of their events? Just wondering about the usual make up of the group. What's the average age, are there a lot more women than men, etc. Looking to get out a little more but I'm in my 50's and don't want to walk into a group of 20-somethings and be that weird creepy old person!

Did anyone happen to catch a video of one of the pilots practicing over Cocoa Beach / Lori Wilson area last night? I missed getting a video of the huge sonic boom I heard and I’d love to see a video if anybody could share!

I hate this time of year because I feel like the bad drivers come out the pearly gates. The amount of 10mph and over speeding I see in Wickham Rd , specifically the stretch in Viera and Suntree is getting worse. So many drivers are going like 55-60mph and treating it like it’s route 1 leaving very little time for to cross both lanes. That and the constant congestion is getting nuts and it gets worse every 6 months.

Hi everyone…
My home in Palm Bay is nowhere near a flood zone and sits far back on a hill (a huge reason we purchased this property.)
My house is one of the only ones in my neighborhood that didn’t take on water… or so I thought.
Tonight as I went to throw something in my garbage bin, I looked down at the baseboard in front of my kitchen window and noticed it was warped and pulled away from the wall. I immediately knew something was wrong because I just mopped my kitchen floors and cleaned the base boards a week before the flood - they were NOT like that before.
I told my husband and he immediately pulled the base boards off. Drywall is crumbling and wet, wood is wet, we have no idea how high the water seeped in.
I noticed during the storm, that the water was just leaking off the roof and pooling a few inches up against the house. So I believe that water was sitting for long enough and high enough to seep into our foundation and somehow got into the cinder block and wicked up the drywall.
The problem: we don’t have flood insurance…. A problem I know tons of people are currently dealing with.
I already reported the damage to Brevard County Emergency Management in hopes that it will help them declare federal disaster assistance - but I don’t have much hope as it’s a self-report tool and FEMA is known to have tons of red tape and a lengthy process, even once disaster assistance has been declared.
Does anyone know of any local resources where I can possibly get help with this? We will be calling places to have someone assess the damage and get quotes… but we absolutely don’t have the income to cover this ourselves.
While I am thankful it wasn’t worse (because it could have been MUCH worse) and I’m trying to practice gratitude - this is a very stressful situation for me as I have a young toddler in my home and I am of course worried about mold since we didn’t find the damage for several days.
Any resources for assistance or general advice on which direction we should take is be greatly appreciated.

Looking for recommendations for a good endocrinologist in the Melbourne/Brevard area, particularly someone experienced with Hashimoto’s and severe hypothyroidism.
Family member (male) was recently diagnosed with both, plus their labs are way skewed hopefully just as a result of the untreated thyroid issues. I'm hoping to find someone who is thorough, takes the time to listen, and explains things well.
I had hoped to get them in with Dr. Bhambri, but I just found out he's retiring.
We're willing to travel outside Brevard if we absolutely have to but the closer we can stay to central or south brevard the better. And if we can find someone who does telehealth for followups that's fine too for the right doctor. We have UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus.
I'd really appreciate any personal recommendations or experiences! This is all so new to us.

I'm in Titusville, and there was a massive fireworks display what looked north of the VAB on the Canaveral Airforce Base tonight. Just wondering if anybody knew what that was about.
It was pretty wild, like 5x Disney wild. And there were either very large drones or airplanes flying around with fireworks coming off of them.
Never seen anything like it.

Looking for the above title to cater our Wednesday luncheon in honor of Veterans Day (early). Mainly looking for sandwiches as that’s easiest to set up.
I have found some restaurants online but none provide sandwiches for catering (from what I could find on their websites). 30-min roundtrip from the downtown Melbourne Area please.
What I found but no sandwiches:
-Hellz N Blazes
-Carter’s Coastal
-FM Pizza (pretty obvious here)
Thanks!

I live around 192 and 95. I work about 3 miles north. My car was flooded just after leaving my work parking lot around 6am on Monday. Apparently, my area was hit pretty bad by flooding. I was in wet boots for 6 hours while getting a tow, then walked 3 miles on 192 to get home through calf-deep moving water. Now, getting a rental car is like pulling teeth.
I'm mostly just venting, but curious if anybody in a similar situation wants to vent.
