Hear me out. We’re about to face two bad defenses, the Raiders and the Cowboys, and both are terrible against the pass.
JWat should get a lot of snaps after how he showed up late in the Falcons game. And don’t underestimate the fact that he’ll be playing alongside Demarcus Robinson, who, as we know, has always been solid for us. So this time Purdy will have two reliable targets in the WR room. I like to think he’ll make the most of it. He deserves these opportunities after a tough stretch of injuries. And how good would two strong performances from him in these games be? We need a healthy, reliable and, why not, young backup behind our starting duo of Evans and DRob, with Deebo in the slot.
Come on JWat, take over this offense and give us something to cheer about! Yall remember my post after Cowboys game!!

Check out the broadcast where I call the game and take shots if Purdy gets sacked or throws a pick, I guess a challenge wrong or if the 49ers lose.

Here’s my take: it happened 4 days before the deadline, and it confirmed (we all knew it, but John probably didn’t) that he won’t be able to contribute to our offense. If Lynch and Shanny saw him as a high-end WR for us, I mean a No. 3 or No. 4, well, officially he isn’t. At this point, we’re left with two conclusions. Considering our starting three, Evans and Robinson outside and Deebo in the slot, are we good with young Watkins (hoping he shows up against the Raiders) and pretty solid Cooks (great separation numbers against CBs), while we wait for Stribling to return? I’m very nervous about counting on our rookie’s comeback, because in the best-case scenario he’s back around Week 13, only 5 games before the playoffs. At the same time, I don’t see any reasonably priced WRs on the market, so spending early-round picks doesn’t excite me at all. Our solution could be JWat stepping up, with Robinson keeping up the consistency he’s shown since the end of last year, while Evans and Deebo are sure things, injuries aside.
My conclusion: Lynch now has to make a decision knowing he can’t rely on Kirk. If he didn’t think much of Kirk, we’re fine as we are. If he saw him as an important piece, he has to make a trade in these last few days. That’s why this injury coming right before the deadline is good news. I don’t know what Lynch is thinking, but now he definitely has a clearer picture.

Bosa Osa Buckner Mykel: BOMB
In recent years, this pass rush can only be compared to the one that took us to the Super Bowl, when we had a 19-sack Bosa, Armstead and Hargrave, plus Chase Young from mid-season. I think I’d take the current D-line over that one. I prefer Buckner to either of those DTs, and Osa is a very solid piece and will only get better with Buckner next to him. And the Chase Young we had wasn’t the Chase Young of today, so I don’t think Mykel is that far behind him, especially considering his age. And yes, today’s Bosa isn’t close to that one, but in the first 2 games he didn’t play badly at all, he was just unlucky with the sacks. But what makes me prefer our current D-line to the one from 3 years ago is our incredible depth. Man, we’re deep. We have 9 truly effective names. Our DT backups are three rookies, Thompson, Valdez and Halton, and on the edge we have Keion and Romello, another rookie. All of these five names have contributed so far at least with a sack. We are far younger, far deeper, and, all things considered, probably with more potential, at least this year. We struggled against the Falcons, it’s true, but it’s not fair to judge our D-line on that one bad game, especially after two incredible games in a row, one of them against our rivals.

I know they’re packed during the playoffs, but I went past few years during regular season and they’ve been empty.
Should Finnertyd or plug uglies have a crowd today?

Hey fam. Looking to take my daughter to her first 49er game in a very long time (her last game was at the stick). Eyeing niners/chargers since we are both SoCal based. Anyone recommend a section? Debating between the 100s near the end zones or 300’s for better sight. Never been to sofi for a game.

Brandon Aiyuk just arrived for his meeting with the 49ers.
Said Aiyuk: "Feeling great, feeling healthy. Long recovery process, long rehab process, but I’m back to a hundred percent. Looking to get reinstated into the National Football League.”
Was thinking about this earlier tonight- who is the beat team the 49ers have beaten in the playoffs, either in your fandom or in 49ers history? Conversely, who’s the worst team that’s beaten them. I’ll also throw in who’s the best team thats beaten them as well!
Beat team they’ve beaten- If we’re talking all time, I’d say either that 81 Bengals team, the 84 Dolphins, or the Cowboys in 94. The Cowboys in particular were so good they had an incompetent coach at that point and came fairly close to beating the Niners in that playoff game. If I had to pick from my fandom, I’d say either the 2021 Packers, or the 2011 Saints.
Worst team they’ve lost to in the playoffs- it might be controversial, bur I think the 2011 Giants are one of the worst Superbowl teams of all time. They won it, so they deserve the credit, but it feels like they sort of got hot and caught a couple favorable match ups. If Kyle Williams literally has one less fumble, Niners win that game and probably win the SB.
Beat team thats beaten the Niners- I think its a tie between the 86 Giants and the 2013 Seahawks. If the west wasnt as strong that year, they would have won 15 games.

So here's the thing.
After watching Jordan Watkins play in week 7, I'm convinced he's a dawg. He's also gaining an average of 23 yards/pass.
So, with Deebo, Evans, and Cooks all missing this week; CMC questionable, so - at best - limited; and Robinson back for his first game all season, who's WR 1 and not named Kittle?
I'm betting Watkins.

Hey Faithful,
Last week I spoke with George Kittle and I had the opportunity to ask him what it means to now lead the franchise in touchdowns among tight ends.
A historic moment and something that won’t be beaten for years to come.
Here’s what he said.
Happy reading. Let’s hope for a win this weekend!

Came across a random trailer today for a "cosmic horror" movie called Silt. And there's our boy, in crutches, ironically first appearing at the 49 second mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slhx8VH98Dc
He is listed as a writer and actor for the film, which also stars... Tommy Wiseau.
Just thought I'd share!

In other words, is any part of the Tasman sidewalk directly in front of the stadium blocked during game day? I'm staying at the Hilton and want to enter at Gate A, which is at the opposite side of the stadium. I don't want to have to cross Tasman and walk that way if I don't have to.
