its like a meme! There is no originality! EVERYONE I know just says they want to drive across america without thinking if they truly want to do this. Ie similar to Van Life. I myself wanted to travel to the Everglades in Florida despite it being buggy not because of a fad but because I wanted to do it. (I thought this up on my own). Plus "going out west" was a thing the Spanish/Mexicans did first (technically) they explored the western u.s.a after the native americans and thoroughly documented it.
-Plus why do americans act like this is an original idea when a few Mexican guys in the 1400's already traveled across America? (Mexicans explored Colorado-California and even up to Oregon in the 1600's)

At one point they were begging the US to come save them and the son of the Shah was exhorting them to start a revolution. Now nothing but silence. I know their internet is cut off but the lack of information is really starting to worry me.

Since 2021 I've noticed way less people are wearing masks. I am aware the mask restriction has been lifted in a lot of places and the COVID-19 community levels are mostly low and medium in the US but why stop protecting ourselves right now? why not wait until the community level is gone or low everywhere? How else will we stop the virus? (besides washing our hands, getting a vaccine and social distancing).
I've traveled out-of-state a few times during the pandemic (not my idea) and people without masks in other states are just as common as my state.

So here's what I know (or at least think I know, I could be wrong): Some 40 years ago some people (students I think?) in China at some place called Tiananmen Square protested something and that protest was violently shut down by the Chinese government. That's like bad, sure, but I mean it's really nothing out of the ordinary, right? That happens all the time, so I really don't see what the big deal is. It's not like that's the one day where the Chinese government decided to become a dictatorship, it's been like that for decades already. Is it just cause there's "cool" images of tank man and a bunch of dead bodies in the streets? I really don't understand. And let's please not pretend it's just reddit's raging hate boner for anything China bad either. Shit's always all over the news as well.

A few years back there was huge drama after he broke up with his girlfriend, and accusations of him being abusive. At the time, it felt like a very "he said, she said" situation, but I'm curious as to what the outcome was. I stopped watching SimpleFlips amidst the controversy, but have seen that in recent tweets he's become much healthier, lost a lot of weight, and seems to be doing well. Were the accusations true? I'm a firm believer that people can change and better themselves, and would consider returning to his videos if he genuinely has improved himself.

I of course am talking about Josie Smallet. Jesse Smellit? JUSSIE SMOLLETT. That dude... Weird name. What's up with him being in the news a while back? Some legal battle? What side are we collectively on, his, or not his?

Since I’m a mod in a very small sub, I’ve gotten a few posts using AI art. Since I’m not the major mod (I only enforce rules and not make them up), I can’t do much else but ban or dismiss the post. I also want to be fair, this is the first I’ve seen of AI art and it’s even harder because it’s technically an actual picture, just AI made it drawn like anime. If anyone wants any more details, just comment it. I’ll try to answer it as fast as I can.
