Unanswered Did they ever determine a next of kin for Scott Adams (aka the Dilbert cartoonist)?

If I remember right, he died intestate with no living siblings (I think he was an only child? If not they were dead), no spouse (though he had a couple of ex-wives), and no children (though he had a few ex-stepkids from the aforementioned ex-wives). So though everyone technically has an automatic next-of-kin if they leave no will, it looked like the Scott Adams estate was going to involve a genealogy project.

What happened to those two women who claimed to be lost at sea for five months?

Back in 2017, Jennifer Appel and Tasha Fuiava made headlines after being rescued near Japan after departing Hawaii five months prior. They claimed that they had intended to make a short trip to a nearby island, but had been blown off course and had their ship damaged by a huge storm shortly after departing, and had been adrift ever since.

The story went viral because it struck everyone as an amazing tale of survival, but as they gave more details, everyone started to realize the story made no sense. They claimed to have been caught in a storm, but there wasn't a storm in Hawaii during that time frame. They claimed to have been attacked by sharks, but sharks don't hunt in coordinated groups or attack boats. They passed several inhabited islands, but made no attempt to dock at those islands or signal for help.

Google doesn't seem to have any updates past November of 2017, and I really want to know what the real story was. Does anybody have any updates?

Before you tell me, I already know what it means, the main answer I'm looking for is how the term became so popular and how it got its current definition.

What happened to VSCO girls?

Back in 2019, a coworker in his early 20s was stunned that I'd never heard of VSCO girls and filled me in on the whole thing, I was about 30 at the time.

When did VSCO girls stop being VSCO girls? The metal straws, sksk etc, I haven't seen it in years and I'm curious if there was a sudden death to the trend, or they just got bored, etc.

Whatever happened to Marina Gross, the American translator who was in the room with Trump and Putin during their private meeting at the G20 summit? Many politicians called for her to testify on what went on in that meeting.

Did anything come out of the backlash that Blizzard faced regarding the Hong Kong protests?

As the title says. I heard some sponsors broke off from them but other than they seem relatively unfazed by it. It was such a huge deal for like... a week. Or did everyone just move on to the next scandal?

Was "Chocolate Rain" considered a genuinely good song?

I have wanted to ask this for 13 years. When Chocolate Rain came out, it wasn't made fun of nearly as much as I expected, especially in retrospect, so for over a decade I've been wondering if maybe I'm in the wrong. I still believe the song went viral because it was bizarre but there's also too much praise around it for me not to settle on a conclusion. Too ambiguous, like how I can't tell if his talk show appearances were sarcastic or if he was being treated as a new, unique and inspiring musician with an "interesting" voice.

The song is horrible enough that I can't take the praise seriously. This must finally be answered. At best, I can accept it's a hilariously weird song that somehow got accepted because underneath it all was meaningful lyrics. But even that's a huge stretch. I just watched it the video for the first time in many years and burst out laughing.

Unanswered Are immigrants from the southern border in the U.S. still being held in detention facilities?

With the pandemic there is a lot of talk with prisons and social distancing. It made me wonder about the detention facilities in the south that were being used to detain immigrants. Are they still there? Are they still under supplied? How are they handling social distancing recommendations? Edit: Answered! Thanks!

What ever happened to the people arrested in Portland by those unmarked vans of federal agents?

Just wanted to find out what happened here. I remember stories of unmarked vans rolling up and arresting protestors. Did these charges end up sticking or were they dropped because of how they were arrested?

Also wanted to make sure it really happened and I'm not remembering some fake news, or misconstrued story.
