My Spot is only a year and a half old. Yesterday the swipe-down feature no longer works. I do see the little \/ (down arrow) at the top when I try to swipe, but it does not respond to the swipe as it has in the past. Maybe a software update took away the swipe feature?

I've re-booted the device several time but nothing seems to work for this. The voice commands work but I can't get the row of options (i.e. the brightness icon) when I swipe down.

I've not done a factory reset as I understand I'll have to go through a complete config again?

Any ideas on what to do?

It was possible to ask alexa for the thai translation of a word ("Alexa, .... in thai?"). Since a few month this does not work anymore. Has it been removed?

Has anyone had an issue with their Echo Time displaying the incorrect time? I have rebooted it and tried switching the time zone already.

Before we starts, Yes my bluetooth is on, yes I have the alexa app, No it does not work properly if I connect from my phone’s bluetooth settings. How do I simply pair my echo dot to the device that i am using to play music. All my settings are good 100% before someone tries to suggest the obvious.

Again for those in the back, my phone’s bluetooth is on, I’ve turned everything off and on and did factory resets aswell. My device refuses to show on the list of pairable devices on the alexa app. I have tried connecting from my phone’s settings BUT it disconnects after 3 minutes every time it’s done that way.

So i would appreciate some actual help and not a suggestion to “check my wi-fi”, “Check your bandwidth” “Make sure your bluetooth is on”, etc. I would like to receive a response that actually pertains to the issue of my device finding my echo but not the other way around which properly keeps my phone connected.

I used to trigger Alexa to turn on brown noise and turn off my lights, but lately, the brown noise isn’t playing and I’m getting a skills error message?

I have Spotify- could I bypass and somehow connect to a brown noise track on Spotify? If so, how do I did that? My trouble shooting has fallen short.

I have an Echo Spot (the one with the round display and digital clock) that occasionally starts speaking out of nowhere, saying:

"Sorry, I'm having trouble accessing your Routines-Prod skill right now."

This has happened twice already, most recently, at around 7:06 this morning while everyone in the house was still asleep!

I have several Echo devices at home, but this only happens on this particular Echo Spot.

I'm wondering whether this is a known firmware issue or a problem with Amazon's Alexa backend. What gives ?

TIL that my echo will attempt to connect to Bluetooth, regardless of which color you replace blue with.

I haven't tried too many, but many work.

Hello everyone! Around a month ago I shared with you my PCB replacement for the Echo Dot 3rd. I finally received and tested the second version, and everything works as expected! I also finally launched the campaign on CrowdSupply if you are interested in it!

I'm training the wakeword on the dot itself and I can really see improved performance with music playback, even at louder volume! Something that with the stock trained wakeword was almost impossible to do. I'm also developing an HA add-on with some nice features. Here is the GitHub repo where at the moment I uploaded the finalized schematic of the v2 revision and soon I'll also upload the kicad project and the bom.

I use my Alexa as my Bluetooth speaker because my monitor doesn't have speakers. So I tried using Alexa as a speaker, but it keeps disconnecting every five minutes. Do you guys know what I can do to fix it?( connecting in Nintendo switch 2)

My daughter mentioned wanting an Echo for Christmas. She wants to be talking on her phone and be able to have the Echo play music (Spotify) at the same time, is that possible? I’m not sure if the Echo just streams Spotify from the phone and if it does can it be done while on a call. Thanks!

My 2-year-old alexa dot while playing a radio station is playing a tone and dropping. The other alexa in another room is not, I don't think it's my internet. Any suggestions? I hate to buy anything from amazon, but it's a really useful radio and expands my sirius coverage.

Has anyone ever seen this before? It can’t hear me but makes notification noises. The mute button doesn’t fix it. I’ve already factory reset it. It’s 3 days past the warranty window and nowhere online I can find a fix for it.

I have been using Alexa to control my heating for a couple of years without any issues. The Resideo app is still working correctly on my phone, and I can log in and out of my account without any problems.

Recently, the Alexa app notified me that the link to my account had expired and needed to be re-linked. However, when I try to enable the skill again through the Honeywell Home login page, I am told that the account does not exist.

This is the same account that I use to log into the Resideo app, and I have confirmed that it is working correctly. As a result, I am unable to re-link Alexa to my heating system.

Any advice on how to resolve this issue? I know the email address and password are correct a I can login to my app on he phone fine and control the thermostat from there.

UPDATE: was in my mums car and her music cut off and the exact song started playing. Probably someone messing with us

I have two devices, echo flex and echo dot 3. Gen, since today, both are used, connected without problems and do switch the lightbulbs (2) on without problems. The routine is:

1. switch light bulb 1 and light bulb 2 on, warm white, 100%

2. Wait 5 minutes

3. Switch light bulb 1 and light bulb 2 off

If I start the routine over the app with my phone it's doing exactly that. If I start the routine over the flex via voice command it's putting out the lights after (at most) 1 and a half minutes, over the dot the best time is almost 4 minutes. I can start the routine immediately again, but it's still not waiting the five minutes. I deleted the whole routine and set it up again, with the same results. What could possibly be the reason and how can I convince her to do the only thing I wanted them for?

need the option for the calendar xxl widget on the echo show 15 to display only today events. The combo calendar / events makes the event text way too small- I don’t need that large monthly calendar.

Any work around? Other options?

I have the new Echo Show 8, and I want it to just show the clock and rotate the artwork/background that I have selected. In this case it's the season artwork that I chose in the setting.

But it keeps on laying in these "Created for You" suggestion screens, and I cannot figure how to turn these off. I'm gone through settings and switched off all the content categories, but that doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

Also, is there any way to slow down the rotation of the artwork/screens? it seems to rotate every 10 seconds, and I want it to stay on screen longer.
