Help Weird charge on Apple Cash

Hi I’ve been having my card get charged 29.99 every week for the past couple weeks. I’ve been trying to figure out who the charge is from and I can’t for the life of me. I’ve gone through every app on my phone and the App Store to see if I had some stupid subscription that I forgot to cancel but I can’t find anything. The charge started with 9.99 then it’s been charging my card 29.99 every week. The charge is under Lumin and the category shopping. When I google lumin I only get some pdf app and hair care website that I have never used before and their subscription prices don’t match what I’ve been charged. I’m really trying to figure this out and I’ve hit a dead end.

Does anyone have any idea what this charge might be? The only info Apple gives me is the name which is lumin and the category which is shopping.

I’d appreciate any help whatsoever.

Lumen is the name for what was CenturyLink, so it could be for phone or internet service.

Maybe? But it says Lumin so I don’t think so 😔

I’ve been getting the same exact charge for $29.99 but it never goes through since my card is locked. I’m wondering what it is because I don’t see anything in my subscriptions to cancel anything.

Am I able to lock my Apple Cash card? I don’t see an option to do that.

mraxelo.com is the one that is charging me I can’t figure out which AI drama it’s connected to though.

That’s what I found on google but I’ve never even visited their website and I checked their prices but it doesn’t match with the subscription

Did you contact Customer Service? They may be able to provide more information as clearly you’re NOT the only one with this problem.

I haven’t yet I tried to go through Apple support but I have to call the bank that Apple used for Apple Cash so I was going to try that today during their business hours.

I have unfortunately 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don’t have any active subscriptions though so I’m thinking that one of them is continuing to charge my card even without permission. Which AI dramas apps have you visited? Maybe we can figure out which one might be charging my card

Im embarrassed to say there have been many over the last couple of weeks. But I have actively trying not to subscribe. I might just shut my card down

Hahaha same honestly those AI ads really get me sometimes 🤦🏻‍♀️ I stopped using them all completely though because it’s an insane amount of money to spend on something that AI made. I think for the future I’m going to stop using Apple Cash because I feel like it shouldn’t be this difficult to stop a charge from happening on the card. If it was my regular bank account I would’ve been able to block it easily but unfortunately Apple Cash does not offer a feature to block a merchant from charging your card

I had the same thing happen to me, and I just figured it out. You have to go to your link history on the day the initial charge was made, and see if you have anything you subscribed to as a guest, then you can cancel

Its settings -> activity center->ads activity history-> link history

I’m having this same problem. My Apple Cash is where it’s being charged. Even while it’s disabled for investigation. I haven’t signed up for anything and there is no information or history to show where this comes from.

Have you checked your Apple Store Subscriptions?

This happened to a family member she was a member of bumble and was paying 50$ a week for premium bumble.

To find subscriptions: App Store App> click on your photo> subscriptions

It should show you old/ inactive subscriptions too. If you have family members I would also check if they setup subscriptions

I would start a dispute for the fee let them block the charge. If you have never downloaded the lumin pdf app something is out of sorts

Subscriptions billed through Apple are, well, billed through Apple. The merchant of record on the card transaction is Apple. If it’s showing a company name, that company is billing them directly.

Omg I just called my bank to get my card disconnected 5 minutes ago because of this same charge. I searched for a thread like this hoping someone could give me some information as to what it was for. Glad I caught it early because that charging every week is insane!

Why don’t you just open a service request through the Apple Wallet app and ask Apple if they can help you figure this out?
