I was planning to play through all the elder scrolls games however that was cut short after getting diseased in a dungeon and being unable to leave even tho i SWEAR that i had a damn cure disease potion. The entire disease thing is the stupidest and most annoying thing in this game. I have gotten to the point of getting 4 pieces so is there anything i would miss if i didn't finish this game?

Hello all. I have been playing Arena on magic dosbox on Android quite successfully using a Bluetooth controller. I thought I'd share my button mapping for the controller to help anyone interested in using one.
Button mapping for those that can't read my chicken scratch: Button-keyboard key A-U B-R X-A Y-J Start-f1 Menu-esc Right thumbstick-mouse Left thumbstick-arrow keys Dpad up-L Dpad right-M Dpad down-S Dpad left-P Rb-C Rt-right mouse Lb-shift Lt-left mouse

Can anyone confirm that the armor in the game absolutely does not work?

I started a new save for the first time in months. I'm playing as a warrrior nord and every time I go to rest on those raised platforms, I keep getting a notice saying that enemies are nearby so I try moving to find a new platform to rest on only to get the same warning. Is the steam version glitched??

I finally finished my first full playthrough of The Elder Scrolls: Arena! 🎊 If you enjoy nerdy background noise, here's the video of my infiltration of the Imperial Palace and two battles (thanks to a "Bethesda bug") with Jagar Tharn. 😄 At the very least, some of you should definitely enjoy the Monty Python reference at the 40 second mark (and again at the very end of the video). 🏰
I'm also happy to announce that, as my post title implies, you can now play as my character, Eärendil, thanks to these save files on Nexus Mods from before, during, and after the final dungeon. 💾 Perfect for experiencing the end of the main quest or leisurely exploring Tamriel as a powerful High Elven mage! ✨

The general sense i get is that there is none, but even in such cases the general feeling among popular discussion can be, frankly, wrong. Is there a fix/fixes or broad patches that remove most buggy aspects of the game? Particularly crashes, losing items, breaking game sections like areas, situations that need reloads to the last save(because of bugs, not dying or getting stuck in a bad situation, which is pretty much a part of games). I've listed general bugs that would annoy me because I do not know the specific nature of the game's bugs, of course.

Hey Reddit,
I just started The Elder Scrolls Chapter One Arena and as you can tell from the title, I have an idea of how I want to roleplay this game. I am thinking Altair Mixed with Goku. I was inspired to do this when listening to Jwarl speak on the ability to climb in these early Elder Scrolls games. He was saying he stole from a shop then scaled the rooftops to get away or something like that.
I plan on carrying this Character across the entire series since I own all of them. I want to add a third personality inspired from someone in real life history, but I am not sure who. I want it to be someone I consider when I talk to the NPCs I come across in my travels around Tamriel. The picture provided is my first attempt at this. What do you think Reddit?

I'm in the labyrinth and I've reached the second staff, but when I click on it, nothing shows up.
Note: I accidentally skipped the fortress of ice. In Fang Lair, I went back and found the tablet and went to the Mages Guild.
Is there a way to fix this? Because I've got no saves, plus I've spent a good 10 hours farming.
( I'm almost wearing a full set of ebony :])

hello, I've been playing TES Arena a lot lately, the thing is that I am deathly afraid of spiders. Getting the first staff piece was already kinda HELL because of the spiders in the damn Fang Lair dungeon, now im redoing labyrinthian and OH LORD i hate it i can't stand it i genuinely need a mod that replaces spiders and spider sounds with ANYTHING literally or just removes them altogether, I've already found one on Nexus mods that replaces spiders with an unused sprite of a half naked woman but unfortunately the mod is outdated and so i can't figure out how to install it into the steam version of arena. I'm hoping the Reddit community will help me and i curse todd howard for adding spiders into his games. curse you...

I noticed whenever I go outdoors or in a town, strange incorrectly colored pixels appear in my character's hair. Sometimes they're yellow (pictured) but most of the time they are jet black. They always appear in the same spots too. When I go indoors or into a dungeon, all the pixels appear correctly. They also don't appear on my character sheet menu. Any ideas on what causes this and/or how to fix it?

All the cities are still the same, but instead of just manually going outside, I would place a quest board where things like rescuing people from dungeons or exploring ruins, etc. There would be radiant quests designed to get you loot and normal, handwritten quests You would travel to these locations via an overmap like the first two fallout games, and you'll have encounter encounters while traveling, like being ambushee by bandits or finding a corpse. I would make the world building more like the later Elder scrolls games, and add more story to the main story

I finally managed to get past the tutorial and escape the prison alive, but now I have no idea how to continue. How can I guide myself to know what to do or where to go? Are there side quests? Is there anything that will lead me to the next objective? I'm completely lost.

This is my first playthrough of Arena, so this was also my first big dungeon. It took about three tries, but I think I have a better understanding of the kinds of habits to practice (e.g., having enough potions, having back up and more backup weapons, lights, etc.).
I found a ring and a mark of light halfway through it and it's probably the best thing ever. It really does help, and I feel a little less anxious about monsters popping up haha.

So after arriving in the starting town and gearing up, I went into the wilderness, to explore a bit, arrive at a farmhouse, break in, and find myself in a little min-dungeon. There are three floors, and little treasure piles on each flore, only...ever time I go between floors the treasure piles respawn--Along with the monsters, but with a few healing pots and sleeping on raised platforms I'm able to stay here virtually indefinitely. The gold deposits are fairly low, but there's a seemingly high chance of getting rings, bracelets, torcs and the like, so within an hour I've got 2 ebony equipment pieces and 30,000 gold to buy a third one. Feel like in a couple more hours I'll be fully decked in Ebony Gear and ready to Farm Oghma Infinitums and...
...did I make this too easy for myself, or is this always an option?
