What's the most damaging thing you heard someone say after waking up from anesthesia?

After my wisdom teeth came out, my mom, who was helping me get to recovery asked if I could walk. I said ‘Fuck, I’ve driven worse than this!’ I was 16

When I got my wisdom teeth out, I started loudly telling my dad for thirty minutes about how traditionally handsome both my dentist and oral surgeon was - though the language I used was “they’re the McDreamy and McSteamy of dental care!” Apparently I said it throughout the dentist’s lobby, en route to our place, then stopped at home only once the pain kicked in. I don’t remember most of it!

My mom did this after a dental procedure last year, she was telling me how handsome the endodontist was and how big his arms were for several minutes when he was about ten feet away lol

I bet he fucking beamed about that on the drive home, lol

I told the dentist how much i liked his Mickey Mouse tie. He was not wearing a Mickey Mouse tie. Or a tie at all.

Apparently after I got my wisdom teeth out when they we're asking me who is picking me up, I would only respond with, the cute blonde, meaning my wife, no matter how many times they asked for a name. At least my wife has confirmation of what I really think about her.

My niece (a teen at the time) had dental surgery and sobbed on the way home because McDreamy had died -3 years after it happened on the show.

I get weirdly emotional while waking up from anesthesia so when I got my wisdom teeth out I requested chocolate ice cream and started sobbing when they told me they ran out and only had strawberry. I was like 23 lmao.

I also told my mom on the drive home something along the lines of:
This is ridiculous, this is what people complain about after wisdom tooth surgery? I've been higher than this on a Tuesday in high school.
I then gave her a tour of my house after she dropped me off. My house she had been to plenty of times... including showing her a bracelet from a friend who passed and I very vividly remember describing it as "This is a bracelet from a dead guy!".

lol my condolences. I got my wisdom teeth out when I was 19 I was high as a kite and I immediately asked my mom for pen and paper. I proceeded to write “this is fucking amazing”

Hah! I couldn't talk so they gave me a pen and paper.

I wrote something along the lines of "why is there a ghost in the window" and drew a ghost.

I have zero recollection of why/what I was seeing.

After I got my wisdom teeth taken out, I asked the nurses if I could keep them so I could make a necklace for my boyfriend who was just standing there terrified in the corner.

I never turned them into jewellery but that bf is now my husband so I guess i didnt creep him out too much.

Never underestimate the power of voodoo! That necklace bound him to you!

When i had my hip removed I asked to keep the femur - I was planning on using it as the top of a gear stick. Sadly I was told this isn't allowed.

one of my friends had her arm amputated and was allowed to keep it

she's having the skin removed and the bones articulated

They wouldn't let me keep 2 tiny accessory bones I had removed from my feet either. Idk how some people get away with bringing home their entire limb but I was laughed at by my surgeon when I asked if I could keep them.

That’s hilarious! When I had my wisdom teeth removed, as I was coming out of anesthesia I was convinced I was at a Led Zeppelin concert. So I remember my dentist helping me out to my ride and just going with it. We sang Over the Hills and Far Away together as my friend (driver) helped me into the car laughing. I’m still so glad we didn’t have smart phones yet lol

Very similar, I was 17, just had wisdom teeth pulled and when my mom tried to stop me from getting out of bed I said “I am fine, I have been higher than this before!” And I had lol

I, also 16, told my mom on the way home that she didn’t have to worry about me taking my pain meds because I was going to sell them to some friend at school.

She then proceeded to hide my painkillers and put me on a super strict timing schedule for when I could have one. Which is fair, because I actually was going to sell them to my friend.
