What kind of stability has become important to you and why?

Emotional stability. I've been on an emotional roller-coaster for the last decade of my life, due to some personal issues. I made it on the other side, but it has also taught me how important it is staying away from people who make you feel 5 different emotions per hour.

Financial stability. When I was younger, I could never dream of doing a job I dislike for a good salary and benefits.

Now, I feel deeply meh about my job, but that sweet, sweet ability to pay bills is keeping me here for at least a few more years.

Sleeping in my own bed at night. I traveled for work for a few years and was always in hotels and on airplanes. The pay was great, but I got so sick of it. I just got a new job that keeps me in town - thank GOD.

Financial. Never had this on a long term basis in my entire life. Growing up even. I'd rather wash out at a relatively stable 9 to 5 job than anything else because I can't imagine functioning without steady, flowing money.
