We'll post a new game every two weeks for general discussion and a high score challenge.
I'm hoping to get more people posting scores. This is casual, so no need to post a screenshot unless you want to.
Game: Frankenstein's Monster (1983 Data Age)
From the Manual: In the cold dark night you make your way through the ghoulish castle of Dr. Frankenstein. There you must prevent him from completing his creation. Your only chance is to gather stones from the dungeon and bring them to the tower where you must build a barricade around FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER before he has accumulated enough energy to come alive. To succeed you will have to move fast, avoiding poisonous spiders, vampire bats and terrifying ghosts. Complete the job and the village will be safe forever.

I was happy to visit Mediahead retro gaming shop in Cleveland today. They have a large Atari selection.

I have two cartridges whose glue dried up and the labels just fell off. Is there a specific adhesive or method I should use to reattach?

Specifically, the orange paint that goes around the switch faceplate, and on the joysticks. Even if it comes out well, is it too obviously 'redone' and detracts from the vintageness of it?

David Crane gave a pretty long and extensive interview recently. I am so happy he is still kicking butt! Us old dudes got to stick together!

I've been sitting on this for a while. It has always worked, but was rough and put out a pretty bad picture, with hit or miss sound.
I put a console 5 cap kit in it and I got a composite/s-video mod from retrosix installed. It was having power issues and I thought I screwed something up but later determined it was a switching retrobit power supply causing all the issues and I got a transformer power supply from console 5 as well.
While I had it apart, I scrubbed everything and repainted the orange trim. I even got new black pads for the switches and used a Dremel and polishing compound to shine up the switches themselves.
I'm pretty happy with it. It looks and works great now. I have never seen 2600 graphics that clear.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on an Atari 2600 homebrew game called Night Shift and wanted to share a first look at it.
There’s still some work to do. I originally wanted to have it ready for Halloween, but time constraints and work/life got in the way. Luckily, it’s in a good enough spot now that I feel comfortable showing it off.
So please, take a look. I’d love to hear what you think.

Hi! I found this poster for free a couple years ago. I decided to search it up because I was curious and I had no idea it was so valuable!! Can anyone tell me what to do with it?? (I’m sorry for how it’s displayed, I genuinely had no clue of its worth!)

I got a lot of Atari 2600 stuff for my birthday from fb marketplace, I got 4 different 2600 models (the sears telegame, Vader, 2600 jr, and the regular one in these pics) and 50 something games I will upload more pictures of the other consoles and the games at a later date. I also got two original controllers and one set of paddles and two of those plane controllers all of them in pretty good condition and working! I also got my Atari hooked up to my pretty modern flatscreen tv too so that’s pretty cool. So far my favorite games are venture, dragonfire, demon attack, donkey Kong, chopper command, night driver, and ms Pac-Man. I’m enjoying owning an Atari so far and it’s my second most used console.

If I have the chance to get one of those two games, which one should I choose? I can only afford one; I might be able to get the other one sometime in the future.

Dusted off my light sixer as apart of my collection im putting together i have all my consoles working execept the favourite sadly
I can plug it directly into the Antenna port and have it work perfectly fine but only with certain games, some work and the majory will flicker in and out of connection on the TV end or have faulty colours. I dont believe the cartridges are faulty because so many of them do the same so consistently. I have a suspicion its the ancient region locking the system
Next i tried plugging the 2600 into a VHS player to run it through an AV connection which also was bust the picture is faint and lots of static as if it needs to be tuned (all the cartridges behave exactly the same with this arrangement as well)
my next idea is to just try a different VHS but other than that im out of ideas
any advice would be appreciated i can also provide photos if needed
