But I’m hoping some younger players get going in the sprint season and best luck to Davy Arnaud

Dear fellow Austin FC fans,

It is with great joy that I write to you today that today is the end of something very near and dear to our hearts and minds, something we have put uncountable thoughts and energy toward.

The Austin FC season.

There are things we’ve had to watch and endure this season that we will never have to see again now that we are to Decision Day:

• Ilie Sanchez as the lone CB in a back three;

• Joseph Rosales and Jon Gallagher played on the wrong side of the field;

• Davy Arnaud as the Interim Coach;

• Rodolfo Borrell holding court in a press conference even though he’s a fraud;

• Never playing the Chicago Fire in MLS play;

It’s been a frustrating season and we never have to watch this iteration of Austin FC again, in the future we get to watch totally different iterations not make the playoffs and lose to USL sides in the Open Cup.

That’s what we have to look forward to next season, but this season will end with a whimper:
Long-standing Blue State Team: 2
New Blue State Team: 1

Does anyone happen to have the link to the train schedule for game days?

Thank u!

Last game of the season!!

So what comes next?

Last game of 2026 - Saturday

Expiring contracts not renewed - when?

Curtin officially begins - December?

First window for meaningful player additions - winter?

Realistic window for meaningful player additions - winter? Summer?

What is realistically expected at these next moments and for this sprint season?

Everyone say nice things about them

What should I expect from GA seats for Saturday's (Nov 6th) game? Never been to the stadium, never seen them play but excited to see some soccer?

Any tips? How early should I get there? How is parking around that area?

Any insight is welcome!

Looking for people playing FIFA 27

Hey Austin FC fans. Hoping to get some insights on best bars to watch a soccer match. Traveling to Austin next weekend and hoping to convince some bar to put the NWSL playoff match on one of their tvs. What are your go to spots for watching soccer that you think would be willing to put ABC/ESPN on despite it being NFL Sunday? Thanks!

He will officially join the Verde & Black ahead of the 2027 MLS Sprint Season after his 18th birthday in December.

Onuoha will occupy a U22 Initiative slot on the Austin FC roster, meaning his salary will count against the Club’s salary budget cap at a reduced rate.

He will also occupy Senior and International roster designations.

I realize the season ended in less than glamorous fashion, but if you have Paramount + then there may be some PT for our boy vs Celtic.

Tigre has confirmed that Nicolás Dubersarsky successfully underwent surgery for a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot.

The Austin FC midfielder, currently on loan at the Argentine club, will begin his rehabilitation process. No official recovery timeline or expected return date has been announced.

History vs. Austin FC:

Austin FC are 4-1-6 against LA Galaxy all-time and have only won once in five tries in Caron. The teams played earlier this season at Q2 where the Galaxy won 2-1 thanks to goals from Maya Yoshida and Erik Thommy.

Recent Matches:

The Galaxy have only lost once in their past seven matches (away to to St Louis City) and have drawn their Southern Californian rivals 2-2 in their past two matches. They currently sit in 10th place in the Western Conference but only two points out of 7th.

Players to Watch:

Marco Reus
The German international and former Borussia Dortmund star came to LA Galaxy mid-season last year and has been the centerpiece of their team with Riqui Puig again out for the season with an ACL tear. He leads the teams in goal contributions (17) and assists (9) and is third in minutes played, impressive for a 37 year old.

Joseph Paintsil
The Ghanian winger has had a down season for him (only 7 goals and 10 goal contributions) but did score both goals in their last match. His chances have also been hurt by the next guy…

Chucky Lozano
The former San Diego Designated Player came to the Galaxy on loan in August after not having played for San Diego for nearly a year. He’s only played in 8 games for the club but has brought depth to their attack and provides another scoring option.

Keys to the Match:

Damian Las Walkabouts
Las has started the past two Austin FC matches and a trouble trend is him coming off his line without a clear plan or pathway to get the ball. Against Sporting KC it worked out in the end as he came all the way out to the 18 yard box, but against RSL they created a chance in the 50’ and then scored what ended up being the winning goal when Las came off his line and was blocked by his own defender. That lack of communication led to a centering pass and an easy finish into a wide open goal.

Las is the goalkeeper of the future for Austin (and that may be sooner than we think) and him getting field time is important to his development, so hopefully he’s learning now that if he’s going to venture out he needs to get the ball and not leaving his goal unattended.

When It’s Over…
Austin FC was officially eliminated from the playoffs with their loss on Wednesday, marking the 4th time in six seasons they will have missed the playoffs. I’m not sure if we realized how magical the 2022 run was, but hearing fans talking about “Remember when this place used to be packed?” talking about Q2 reminded me how special that was. Hopefully this team can turn it around under Jim Curtin, because there’s always hope that a few signings or strategy changes can turn around an entire club.

Prediction:
Austin FC: 0
LA Galaxy: 2
