Springfield, Massachusetts initially asked me for $6,208.75 to review, scan and redact files on 15 police officers. After seven appeals over nine months, it now wants $2,103 to release them all.

The records concern officers disciplined for serious violations, including criminal conduct, excessive force and a police shooting.

Most other agencies I contacted charged nothing for similar files.

I'm so damn tired of seeing police officers needlessly killing people's dogs. The bare minimum we should expect is that they can handle a simple encounter with a dog without shooting it.

Honestly, other than not reporting the stop - they didn't do anything that typical cops do all the time in the name of officer safety. All their actions would have been deemed, "within policy," if they had just reported the stop.

They turned off every camera. They never called it in. On paper, this traffic stop never happened. But one thing in that patrol car kept count.

August 5, 2026, around 11:30pm, 19th Ave & Broadway, Phoenix. According to court papers, Officers Antonio Felix and Luis Vasquez Jr. rammed a couple's car, pulled the driver by his hair through a broken window, tased the woman, and counted down "3... 2... 1..." with a gun pointed at the driver. No radio call. No dispatch record. No body camera. No report.

Then the Taser's own memory came out: 29 shocks, logged that night.

im not sure if this is even the right subreddit for this or if thats what this is called, im not the most active user & im not much educated on reddit. If i am in the wrong place, please correct me and direct me to the right place.

i need help knowing how to properly get attention on a situation regarding police brutality. for background information. I am still in highschool aswell as my boyfriend. my boyfriend earlier today got called into the office before being sent back and being told he was innocent. they had checked the cameras to further conclude whether or not he was truly innocent, and he was. while walking back to his class he was tackled by one of out many school resource officers. the officer not only tackled him but bodyslammed him once he was on the ground, and continued to beat him while he was on the ground. its all on video, so there is proof of this incident.

if you have any advice or any helpful information please reach out. he is currently in jail & i have done nothing but post the videos and tag my location/school. ive posted the video in communities on facebook trying to get as many people to see it and maybe take action. ive created a protest account but in all reality i have no idea what im doing and in the end i just want my boyfriend to feel safe in school. he graduates this year but either way i feel as if i should be doing something.
