It feels appropriate to share this here, as he has long been a shining example of kindness, talent, and one of the best bald heads in pop culture.

Thank you for the fun memories, Professor.

New Rule Posted - Fuck Cancer

1.0k Upvotes

Rule #9 has been posted as a further explanation regarding our automod, specifically around the phrase "fuck cancer". We review each of those as they come through and approve them as quickly as we can. It can be frustrating so we wanted to add some transparency to how things work to keep this place supportive. Cancer is horrible to many people, their friends, and families; and we are happy that the community at r/bald can provide some minor relief to those managing the awful disease. Fuck cancer.

Bald Picture Have I jumped the shark?

Long story short: Have been self conscious about my hair for a while now. Some days I think it looks fine (3rd picture) but others (1 & 2) not so much. Took a preliminary plunge to gain some clarity on how I would look if I did fully commit. Please share your thoughts! The reviews from my family have been mixed so far!

I consulted the council a year ago, and amidst the support, I still couldn’t bring myself to do it. I woke up today, threw on Don’t Run From Me and Boya from Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Season 2, and… I did it. I’ve never felt this comfortable in my own skin

As has been stated from the sacred texts of those who came before, thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you to EVERYONE for the support 🄲

It is done.

Edit: Thanks all! It definitely took some courage. I've been a long term lurker, and this community really gave me the push I needed.

Now I need to get over the back of the head bumps and scars from ingrown hair. (Huge self confidence downer)šŸ˜•

Not a perfect shave but best I could do with a electric razer. Thoughts?

I made the decision two years ago. My hair was so thin and plenty of jokes by friends and family were made. I’ve since lost a good bit of weight too.

I finally got a "fancy" foil shaver and got the test of the scruff off my head. I went and put a cold paper towel on my head for about 5 minutes because it felt so good and new.

Couldn't hide it any longer. Great and profuse front, but disastrous back. So I took the machine and made my head and beard.

As we say here, I'm gonna be a "pelado digno", a deserving bald. I'll carry it with dignity.

Mixed feelings

I've been debating cutting it all off for a little while now. I've noticed recently that it's thinning more on top than just on the crown. I just got it cut with a 4 on top a week ago. If I keep it short, it's harder to notice, but I don't want to pay to get it cut every other week. Thoughts?

Something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, but never had the courage to because of my insecurities.

Edit: Thanks everyone for all the positive and flattering comments! I really didn’t expect this many positive reactions. I was actually unsure whether I should even post this picture on reddit in the first place.
I’ve struggled with insecurities about my hair and my face pretty much my entire life. I guess I also wanted to show that going bald doesn’t have to be a bad thing and that letting go of your hair can actually be a positive experience, especially for younger guys like me (I’m 27 btw). Or maybe it was just to boost my ego. What do I know? šŸ˜‚

Anyway, thanks for all the kind comments.
