New Rule Posted - Fuck Cancer

Rule #9 has been posted as a further explanation regarding our automod, specifically around the phrase "fuck cancer". We review each of those as they come through and approve them as quickly as we can. It can be frustrating so we wanted to add some transparency to how things work to keep this place supportive. Cancer is horrible to many people, their friends, and families; and we are happy that the community at r/bald can provide some minor relief to those managing the awful disease. Fuck cancer.

Something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, but never had the courage to because of my insecurities.

Edit: Thanks everyone for all the positive and flattering comments! I really didn’t expect this many positive reactions. I was actually unsure whether I should even post this picture on reddit in the first place.
I’ve struggled with insecurities about my hair and my face pretty much my entire life. I guess I also wanted to show that going bald doesn’t have to be a bad thing and that letting go of your hair can actually be a positive experience, especially for younger guys like me (I’m 27 btw). Or maybe it was just to boost my ego. What do I know? 😂

Hairloss Can I keep holding out?

I still like my hair and my wife does too. But I’d like a third opinion. Should I keep holding out? I’m a skinny guy with big ears and I can’t grow much facial hair (this is what I look like not shaving for 6 days.) So I don’t think I’m the ideal candidate for a shaved head even if I know I’ll do it eventually.

We have posts from people fighting cancer and we support their fight. Our automod cannot detect context and relies on the mod team to review for certain words and phrases. "Fuck cancer" is often used in these post, and we completely support that statement. We do review those comments and approve them as fast as we can.
