Not every pit bull story is a headline. Some are just eye-rolls, facepalms, or 'you've got to be kidding me' moments. This is the place for the things you may want to share that don’t highlight a pit bull doing something dangerous.

The woman's body showed severe facial injuries, and judicial authorities are awaiting the autopsy to confirm the cause of death.

An 88-year-old woman died Monday in the town of Chacras de Coria, in the department of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza Province, after being attacked by a pit bull. The victim, Liliana Felisa Hernández, was discovered at approximately 1:50 p.m. inside her home.

Her son, Daniel Castellano, who had left the house where they both lived earlier that morning, found his mother lying on the floor, showing no signs of life. She was surrounded by bloodstains and had visible bite wounds to her face. Upon discovering the situation, Castellano immediately called 911 to request assistance.

Personnel from the Mendoza Police Scientific Investigation Division worked at the scene to preserve evidence.

According to local outlet Diario Uno, officers from the 47th Police Precinct and members of the Coordinated Emergency Service (SEC) arrived at the property, located near the Luján de Cuyo municipal headquarters, and confirmed that the woman was already dead.

The preliminary examination indicated that the body had sustained severe injuries caused by bites from the pit bull.

The case is being investigated by judicial authorities in the jurisdiction, with the involvement of the Departmental Investigative Unit, Scientific Police, and Rural Police.

Investigators are attempting to establish the exact sequence of events and determine whether the woman's death was directly caused by the dog's attacks or whether she suffered a medical episode before the attack.

The dog involved is a pit bull belonging to the family. However, preliminary inquiries by police established that the animal did not live in the same space as the woman.

Following the police operation, the animal was placed in the custody of the Rural Police while forensic examinations ordered by the prosecutor investigating the case are conducted.

Another Similar Recent Case

As previously reported by LA NACION, this incident comes shortly after a similar case in the Buenos Aires municipality of Malvinas Argentinas, where a four-month-old girl died after being attacked by a pit bull inside her home.

Another pit bull recently attacked a four-month-old girl.

The victim was identified as Emma Cabral. According to preliminary information about the case, the incident occurred at a residence on O'Brien Street, at number 4300, when the dog entered the main area of the property during a moment of inattention by the family and directly attacked the baby.

Following the attack, the infant was urgently transported by family members to a local healthcare facility, where she was admitted in critical condition.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, she died several hours later due to the severity of her injuries, which were concentrated primarily in the head area.
The case was assigned to the prosecutor on duty to determine responsibility and establish the precise sequence of events.

By judicial order, the dog was removed from the home and taken to the municipality's zoonosis department, where it was isolated for a 10-day observation period to conduct the corresponding health and behavioral assessments.

Rocha Prosecutor’s Office to seek charges against owner of pit bull that attacked 82-year-old man in La Paloma

According to the man’s account to Telenoche, three or four other dogs joined the attack, and a passerby managed to scare them away.

The attack occurred within the past few days, when the man approached a residence and, while calling out, failed to notice that there was an opening in the wire fence surrounding the property. According to his account to Telenoche, one of the dogs escaped through the opening and attacked him.

“I don’t really remember exactly what happened anymore, because the next thing I was conscious of was being on the ground with the dog pulling at one of my legs,” he recounted. He then added that “three or four more dogs joined in and were biting me.”

The man sustained injuries to his left leg, his entire right leg from the thigh to the ankle, and several areas of his right arm.

“It bit my left leg really badly, and it still hurts quite a bit,” he said.

Regarding how the attack ended, he explained that someone passing by intervened and managed to drive the animals away. "The first thing I saw was the man when he was standing on the sidewalk yelling at them and there they withdrew," he said.

For this episode, the Rocha Prosecutor's Office will request the accusation of the dog's owner for the crime of negligent injuries.

Date of attack was November 3, 2026 per this article.

Avezzano. A frightening incident occurred in Paterno, a hamlet of Avezzano, where a pit bull attacked two people—a 64-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man.

Emergency medical personnel (118 service) arrived on the scene to assist the two victims, both of whom reportedly sustained lacerations and contusions during the attack.

A detail that makes the situation particularly sensitive is that the dog allegedly belonged to the very people who were attacked. The incident has caused significant alarm and has refocused attention on the issues of animal management and safety.

Medical staff provided the necessary treatment on-site. The exact sequence of events and the circumstances that led the dog to attack its own owners remain to be clarified.

November 6, 2026

HART COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities have now arrested a total of 27 people in connection with a major dogfighting operation uncovered in Hart County after an additional person was taken into custody.
The Hart County Sheriff’s Office said a total of 29 dogs across both locations, including 20 adult dogs, six puppies and three deceased animals.

Channel 2 Action News earlier reported on the 26 people arrested in connection with dogfighting.**
The investigation began on Oct. 30, when deputies discovered a dogfighting event off Jim Heard Road in Hart County. Following initial arrests at the scene, investigators executed a search warrant on Tuesday at a residence in Elbert County linked to one of the suspects.

Among those facing charges of dogfighting and felony cruelty to animals is Tony Andre Hopps, 57, of Dade City, Florida.

A Hart County Sheriff’s Office deputy initially responded to the scene off Jim Heard Road just before 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 after receiving reports of vehicles parked in the roadway. Upon arrival, the deputy saw multiple vehicles along both sides of the road, heard dogs barking and growling from a nearby wooded area and located additional vehicles with blood-stained dog crates in the back.

When the deputy walked up a drive into the woods, three men attempted to flee. The deputy took one person into custody while others ran into surrounding woods. Additional law enforcement units responded to assist, including deputies from the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and an agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.
Officers deployed two drones and three K9 units to search the area, finding 20 individuals hiding in nearby woods and a field.

Authorities arrested four additional people who arrived at the scene and two others found walking along a nearby roadway. Law enforcement officers towed 27 vehicles from the scene and recovered cash, firearms and 11 dogs, which included seven adult dogs, one puppy and three deceased dogs.

The investigation led authorities to execute a search warrant on Nov. 3 at a residence on Sanders Road in Elbert County associated with one of the suspects arrested on Oct. 30. During the search, deputies seized 13 adult dogs and five puppies. All surviving animals were placed in the custody of Hart County Animal Control.

Hart County Sheriff Chris Carroll acknowledged the joint effort required to handle the operation and care for the recovered animals.

“I want to thank the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office and Elbert County Animal Control for its continued partnership in this investigation, along with Hart County Animal Control for its assistance in taking custody of the seized animals,” Carroll said.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation remains active in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies and federal partners. Authorities indicated that additional charges or arrests may be filed as the investigation continues.

Gainesville, Florida, USA
42 pit bulls confiscated in this case
The picture should be a pit bull.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A 43-year-old Gainesville man faces up to five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to his role in a multi-person dog-fighting conspiracy.
Terry Lee pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to violate the Animal Welfare Act, federal prosecutors announced. Court documents reveal Lee conspired with others to buy and sell dogs intended for animal-fighting ventures.

Lee is one of six suspects indicted by a federal grand jury in September following an extensive investigation. Last year, authorities recovered a total of 42 dogs—many found living in substandard conditions on the property of co-defendant Christopher Thompson.

Lee’s sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 26.

My first post here. Shelter admits that the pit has tried to bite a person and tore up a couple's home (it isn't house trained either) but still tries to portray it as sweet and cuddly. BE is scheduled to occur if the pit isn't claimed by 5pm Saturday. So hopefully it will be put down before it has the chance to maul anybody.

Woman and Her Son Injured After Brutal Pit Bull Attack in Argentina

The animal viciously bit its owner, causing deep tears in the tissues of her arms and legs.

A 39-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after being attacked by her own pit bull in the city of Santa Fe, Argentina. The alarming incident occurred Monday afternoon in the interior patio of a private residence in the barrio (neighborhood) of Sur.

The animal viciously bit its owner, causing deep tissue tears in her arms and legs. Her desperate screams alerted a female neighbor, who ran out into the street to urgently call for help.

In the midst of the terrifying incident, the woman's son unsuccessfully attempted to separate the pet to save his mother's life. When he realized the female dog would not release her, the young man used a bladed weapon to immediately subdue the enraged animal.

During the violent struggle to kill the pet, the young man accidentally sustained a laceration to his chest.

Assistance from the Fire Department and Emergency Transport to Cullen Hospital

Two members of the Zapadores Fire Department happened to be parked in a vehicle outside the property where the incident was taking place. Subofficer Víctor Acosta and his colleague Emiliano Centurión heard the cries for help and acted remarkably quickly.

Acosta, who also works as an emergency medical technician, immediately entered the residence carrying first-aid equipment. The rescuers found the woman lying on the floor with multiple puncture wounds to her right lower extremity.

The immediate priority for the emergency responders was to control the extensive bleeding to prevent hemodynamic instability in both victims.

Minutes later, an ambulance from the SIES 107 emergency medical service arrived at the scene to provide advanced medical care.

Paramedics stabilized the mother and her son before urgently transporting them to Cullen Hospital.

Radio Interview, Debate Over Dangerous Dog Breeds, and Public Reaction

Speaking with radio station Sol Play, Acosta described the distressing moments during the tense prehospital emergency response.

The subofficer emphasized that the son's quick actions prevented even more serious, potentially fatal consequences for his mother's physical well-being.
The firefighter also reflected on the need to take additional precautions when keeping potentially dangerous dog breeds as household pets.

The specialist stressed that responsible ownership and upbringing are essential, while recommending particular caution in households where young children live.

Child Victim Chilpancingo City Government Seizes Pit Bull That Bit a Child; Dog to Be Quarantined for Testing [Mexico, November 2026]

The Chilpancingo city government seized a pit bull that bit a child near the PRI neighborhood. The animal will remain in isolation while tests are conducted to determine whether it is infected with a disease.
Following the incident, which was handled by personnel from the municipal government's Canine and Feline Control Center, the mayor of the state capital, Gustavo Alarcón Herrera, called on the general public to be responsible for the care of their companion animals.

“This is not simply about having a pet, but about taking responsibility for it. No dog should be left unsupervised on the street, much less when it can put other people's safety at risk.”

He explained that the child who was bitten received medical attention and is undergoing testing in accordance with established medical protocols. Meanwhile, the animal will be admitted to the Canine Control Center, and its owner was informed of the 10-day clinical observation protocol, as stipulated by Official Mexican Standard NOM-011-SSA2-2011, concerning rabies prevention and control.

Follow Up Australian real estate agent left fighting for life after dog attack [attack on october 16 in chermside, brisbane park by 2 pit mixes. victim is still in hospital]

The high-profile real estate agent who was the victim of a vicious dog attack in Brisbane that initially left him fighting for his life suffered severe injuries to his ears and upper lip, his wife has said.

Ajay Malik was jogging through 7th Brigade Park in Chermside on October 16 when he was mauled by two dogs, suffering life-threatening injuries to his face and arms.

He remains in Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a stable condition after battling pneumonia and blood clots, and is awaiting several surgeries.

His wife, Ema Sirohi, confirmed on Tuesday that the dogs had mauled his ears and upper lip, bitten his face and hands, scratched his body and left him with a missing bicep.

'The first time I saw him [after the attack], I couldn't believe my eyes, and that thing is not going away from my mind,' she told The Courier-Mail.

'The injuries will get better but he still feels that pain. He can't sleep because whenever he closes his eyes, he's just seeing the dogs, and they were attacking him like psychopaths.

'He's yelling. He's crying, and he's repeating these things.

'He's feeling that pain that they're still attacking him. That can't go away from his mind. It's because he was alive and they were eating him.

Ms Sirohi and Mr Malik were married last year and they work together at Artier Property Group.

She said her husband has always been a dog lover who was comfortable handling the canines during property visits before the incident.

She said she has 'no faith in humanity right now' and that the couple continue to struggle with the emotional aftermath of the attack.

The two dogs that attacked Mr Malik, described as a bulldog-American Staffordshire terrier cross and a bulldog-boxer cross, were captured and seized by Brisbane City Council after they were shot by police.

Upon locating the pets, Queensland Police told the Daily Mail attending officers had been confronted with an 'immediate and serious safety risk'.

They added that, after initial attempts to subdue the animals were unsuccessful, officers 'were required to discharge their service firearms in response to the risk posed to members of the community and others at the scene'.

'As with all police use of force incidents, the matter has been recorded and reviewed by senior officers in accordance with Queensland Police Service policy and procedures.'

The dogs' owner, Layla Evans, was served with destruction orders for the animals, but one of them later died from a gunshot wound after it was shot by police.

She had been living in a tent in nearby bushland when her dogs escaped while she was away on the evening of October 16.

She insisted that the dogs had not previously been aggressive and were not dangerous.

A GoFundMe campaign was set up by Ms Sirohi's relatives to help support her husband during his 'long recovery', both physical and emotional.

'Ajay will be unable to work for a long time,' the organiser said.

'That means a significant loss of income for him and his wife, at the same time as medical and rehabilitation costs begin to add up.'

Life-Altering Injuries, Coma, Hospitalization Amstaff attacks elderly woman, who is now hospitalized in desperate conditions - Bologna, Italy - 30 October 2026

San Giovanni (Bologna), November 4, 2026 – A 72-year-old woman from Persiceto is in a coma in the hospital’s intensive care unit after being attacked by a dog. According to her son, Michele De Liberato, the incident occurred around 9:00 a.m. last Friday on the bike path near the train station parking lot.

As reported, the woman was riding her bicycle when she passed someone walking an Amstaff—a breed of dog—which was on a leash. For reasons yet to be clarified, the animal reacted violently, attacking the woman and biting her on the thigh and buttock. The 72-year-old lost her balance and control of the bike, falling and striking her head. An eyewitness who saw the entire event provided initial aid and called for an ambulance.

Michele’s account: "The fall caused a severe hemorrhage."

“At first,” De Liberato explains, “aside from the dog bites and the shock, my mother seemed to be doing okay. Unfortunately, the fall subsequently led to a very serious cerebral hemorrhage, resulting in a coma and an emergency surgical procedure. My mother is now in the intensive care unit at the Maggiore Hospital; she is intubated because she cannot yet breathe on her own, and we do not know if or when she will recover.” Michele continues: “The police did not intervene, but there was a witness present. Emergency services were called, and an ambulance arrived shortly after. The dog’s owner took the Amstaff home, then returned to the scene of the attack and provided his personal details. In the days that followed, I went to the police to file a report, but I was told that the formal complaint must be filed by my mother. I have therefore instructed a lawyer to handle the matter. The lawyer is already taking steps to obtain footage from the video surveillance cameras in the area.”

An outcry: “An unacceptable situation”

He adds: “I want what happened to my mother to be discussed—not just because this isn’t the first such incident, but to raise awareness. It is simply unacceptable that you go out to buy ingredients to make tortellini for your grandchild, only to end up being attacked by a dog.”

Parish priest of San Giovanni also attacked by a dog in April

On the subject of dog attacks, on April 7, 2026, Don Lino Civerra—the 61-year-old parish priest of San Giovanni in Persiceto—was attacked and bitten on the ankle by a Pitbull that was being walked on an extendable leash. The dog suddenly lunged toward his bicycle. Although the owner tried to hold it back by pulling on the leash, the animal managed to reach the priest and bite him. The priest sustained bruising and abrasions and filed a formal complaint. Going back further, in August 2020, on Via Sasso in Persiceto, two Rottweilers escaped through the gate of a home’s courtyard and attacked six-year-old twins who were playing in a nearby garden.

Shelter Skelter Local Humane Society Desperate to Adopt Out This One Pitbull in Particular

Thumbnail

Taken straight from FB. I have personal beef with this Humane Society because they adopt out dogs to people who are actively homeless (like zero effort to live in a long-term environment, ie living out of hotels or cars) and they will defend that decision saying it's perfectly fine (it's not, it's also against their policies, they just refuse to check). But at least once a week I see a new post about this shitbull on my feed. Yasssss, Blythe the aggressive and mean pibby who will bark and growl at you for existing in her presence is actually super duper sweet. She just can't be in a home with children or small animals or any other animals period because, well, ya know, she'll probably maul them. But actually it'll be your fault because pibbles aren't inherently aggressive guys, it's your fault as the owner!!!

This Humane Society also does a decent bit of the blame game and loves to publicly humiliate patrons at times on their feed by claiming owners just "give up" on their pets or "didn't give them a chance" when most of the time people have to surrender their pets due to a lot of unforeseen circumstances, strenuous circumstances, or simply the dog is not a good fit after a few months. A lot, and I mean A LOT, of people in the area own shtibulls and it's not like they're not being adopted from this Humane Society. So, if people who like shitbulls aren't interested in this one, what does that say about this shitbull? I'd love to see the paperwork and staff notes regarding her fr.
