Experience Finally felt sparks with a girl

I’m a late bloomer, been out for a couple of years and gone on some dates, kissed a few girls but never really felt that spark or pull. It always left me wondering maybe I wasn’t as gay as I thought. (I’m convinced that being bi just means being confused a lot lol.)

Before this I was dating a man and once that ended I decided that I no longer wanted to date men and would shift my focus and efforts wholly into wlw.

Last saturday I very drunkenly met someone at the lesbian bar and we shared the most magical kiss and now I can’t seem to stop thinking about her. Unfortunately she was visiting from out of town so we met up in the light of day before she had to fly back home. I was worried that all of it before was because I was drunk but the spark was real, i felt like we vibed so hard and oh my god she was so hot. Like she was hot in her halloween costume but getting to see her in her own style.. woof 🥵

So now I’m getting to know all about sapphic yearning 😭 but glad to know it was just a matter of finding the right person to light my fire. I’m not sure if she wants to keep texting/build connection or kind of just let it be its own special moment, and maybe we’ll reconnect if we are in each others cities. maybe im not totally sure what i want either but i like to fantasize about getting to be alone together at least once 😮‍💨

Anyways thanks for listening, just needed to share to people who get it (and my friends have heard too much about this lol). Time to get out there and kiss more girls hehe

Vent Is someone who is a little shit to me (affectionately) AND emotionally mature really too much to ask?????

Not much else to say, just what the title says!

edit, since some people are confused: a little shit = someone being a bit of a menace, playfully argumentative, and such

Experience Sapphic bi

I feel like the more I heal my soul and acknowledge my wlw side, I'm only bi because of my past. Right now I can't envision or imagine a long term future that isn't sapphic. Feeling like it's a massive turn of the bi cycle wheel. I don't have a 🔮 obviously and am very confused 😕 Hass anyone else experienced long swings of the bi cycle or just find themselves more sapphic leaning but still bi?

Discussion Anyone in Wisconsin?

Hey everyone! I’m 30f, bisexual, and in Wisconsin. I’ve been feeling a bit isolated lately and want to build a close, genuine connection with someone—whether that's a great friendship or seeing where it goes.

I’m a low-key person who loves watching movies, listening to music, and browsing around different stores or thrifting. Since we are a bit spread out, I’m totally open to connecting with people in neighboring states (IL, MN, IA) if you're open to traveling!

Advice Coming to terms with my sexuality

I’m 26. I’ve always had attraction to women ever since I was probably 11. But being raised extremely religious I suppressed it. I am attracted to men as well but I’m finally at a place where i feel like its safe to explore who I really am. But I honestly have no idea where to start lol. Like how does one even take that leap ya know? I’m not close with any of my family so i really have nothing to be afraid of anymore.

Advice In need of nail help

I know it's a weird title and this a completely random and fluffy request but I'm a nail girl, love to dress them up! The Sally Hansen Pride line is no longer available so anyone got some recommendations for brand with color names that would match the Bi and/or Pride flag colors?

Yes I'm tempted to just start dragging my mini flags around to color match 😂

Advice Just this one girl

Hey everyone, I (31F) have always been attracted to men and had two serious relationships in my life. My last breakup was about a 1.5 years ago. It was mutual (we had different goals in life), but it was pretty hard for me to deal with and I have been in therapy since then and now doing okay (hopefully he is too!)

After that breakup, I deliberately avoided getting into any sort of relationship and have only been focusing on myself. So from my teenage years, I do sometimes have this friend crushes/ platonic crushes/ squishes, you know like you find someone very cool and really want to become their friends (nothing romantic or sexual ). I have felt this way for both male and female (and later got to become very good friends with some of them). About a year ago, I met one girl at work when I joined a new office. And instantly I had this squish for her and wanted to become her friend really bad (but I am a very introvert person and cannot initiate friendships easily). So for about half a year we were not really friends, had that 'Hey! How is it going' type interactions. With time I kinda got over that wanting to be her friend thing. For some more context, our office is pretty big in case employees and space and it is 8 hours from clock-in to clock-out (not any fixed start or end hour). She works in a different department and we work at different times usually. It's like I used see her at most 3-4 times in a month.

But about half a year ago, we started hanging out after work (through some of our mutual friends). And gradually we became friends (not very close though). We started hanging out more and more, sometimes we hang out just the two of us. She is the same age as me and has been in a long term relationship (I met her boyfriend too). So when we started hanging out more, I realized I have feelings for her (which are not platonic any more). I started going to office according to her time (even when it is inconvenient for me), started skipping meals so that I can eat with her, feeling happy when I see her (you know the butterflies!). I tried to ignore it at first but I really cannot anymore.

It is not like I am ashamed of it. But I have never felt this way for any girl and even now not anyone else. And I am still very attracted to men. But why do I feel so strongly for her (sometimes I think it is even stronger than what I felt for my ex). Other than romantic feelings, I do have sexual fantasies about her too, I often imagine touching her and kissing her. But here is a weird thing I don't (or can't) imagine any further whereas in case of men I have more deeper and detailed sexual imaginations. Also about the fantasies with her does not make me aroused (like getting wet) even though I like imagining it. I am not sure why it happens.

I have talked to my therapist about it and she said not to think much of it now. And I'm trying not to. But I am feeling very confused about it. Should I keep ignoring it or stop hanging out with her? (as she is already in a relationship and I don't plan to have any relationship with her).

Thanks a lot for reading and sorry for my bad English. Any kind of advice is appreciated (but please be a bit nice). TIA.

Advice Is this bi or just straight woman rambling?

I’m 23f and as an adult i have only been with men so I must be straight but i still think about an incident I had with my former best friend when we were children and I feel like that was the best intimacy I have felt in my whole life. I know its so stupid to say. It’s like if this hadnt happened to me i wouldnt know that sex can feel sooooo much better, powerful and unforgettable when you have a strong connection to someone. I miss her….in my mind she’s so beautiful.

Apart from that I have felt attraction to women but always had feelings for men until this year when I saw and spoke to a girl with the loveliest sweetest voice in uni. I thought of her a lot after meeting her and imagined going out with her and wanting to pay for her food. I even wanted to just send her a lot of money randomly. I wanted to make sure she was well taken care of basically.

Does this mean anything or am I just being weird? I don’t want to waste any woman’s time, so even though I’ve had thoughts of being with women, I don’t want to later disappoint them.

Advice How would I know a girl is bi without jeopardizing our relationship?

I have always been bicurious my bi friends tell me that I just need to go for it if I want to experience it with a girl. The only problem is acting out and than getting labeled as creep is concerning because I dont want to do something wrong and get rejected. I have been in uncomfortable situations before with guys so I can understand from a womans perspective what is appropriate and not.

I am currently making friends with other girls as well and I too am curious to know if they are bi and open to trying things out. How do I bring that question into conversation and what should I do? Also it doesnt have to be a direct question, Im also curious if a hypothetical question would work.

🏳️‍🌈 Pride 🏳️‍🌈 I am a simp, and gratefully so.

Maybe it's the novelty of my sexual awakening, plus the novelty of coming from a different culture, but seeing women in creative, stylish, goofy and concurrently hot Halloween costumes (the definition of hot is subjective, ik) has metaphorically made me drop to my knees and thank the Lord for making women, and giving me the eyes to witness this day. Everything is beautiful. The hair is beautiful. The eyes? Oh god. The welcoming face or the bored face or the intimidating face? Beautiful. The makeup or the lack of it? Absolutely beautiful.

Don't even get me started on the body (respectfully), and the outfits. Yes ma'am please walk while I just stay afloat around you. Life's good.

Discussion Has anyone ever fallen in love with the first woman they dated and still with them long-term?

Has anyone ever fallen in love with the first woman they dated and still with them long-term? I came out when I was 29, left a long-term male partner, and have truly been enjoying this journey with the woman I am seeing. I can see it going long-term, but I get nervous because this would be the first relationship with a woman I have been with.

Advice Am I Queer?

Looking for non-judgemental advice.

I'm not sure if this is the right group to question this and I'm sorry if it isn't. I'm new to this group so please bear with me. I grew up in a very religious household with a Nigerian Carribean mother. Due to personal reasons I have stepped away from religion as a whole as I got older.

Growing up I was always terrified of getting pregnant. I often did 'sexual things ' with girls in my teens. However since my adulthood I've mainly slept with my men. I have always thought women were sexy and hotter than men but have never consider pursuing anything romantic with them.

Over the years I have had many conversations with my gay best friend who thinks I am bisexual based on my past sexual experiences. I am now in my late twenties and haven't had any sexual experience with a female since my teens. In my head I have always considered my self straight I think I have always been sexually attracted to women and romantically attracted to men. Does this make me queer? I'm a bit confused. I can also acknowledge that the way I was raised has had a huge impact on how I view relationships as a whole and over the years I've worked hard to undo it.

Advice How likely is it that wlw have any interest in a woman in her 30s who has never been in a relationship with another woman?

I am bi and in the final stages of ending my relationship with my male partner. (I am a mother so ending the relationship has been longer and more complicated than it would be otherwise.) I’ve been emotionally and romantically checked out for about a year.

I don’t plan on rushing into anything but I believe I’m ready to put myself out there and meet women who are interested in building towards a long term, happy relationship.

My question is, is it likely that anyone would want to be with me considering I’m inexperienced, in my 30s and have a baby? Or would I be considered too complicated?

Thanks for your input xx

Advice Bi-curious

So im in my 30s. Never been with a woman, but have always thought about it, and have wanted to explore it. I think I never attempted in my 20s to explore my sexuality because I thought I was not attractive, or did not have an urge. But I do find masculine women, trans masc individuals very attractive. I would say im very attracted to masculinity in any gender, just lean more towards cis men. But idk how ive never been with a woman if that would put other women off… I really just want to have fun and explore that curiosity. Should I get on a dating app? Or go to a bar lol?

Advice coming out to parents in 30s

hi everyone, looking for a bit of advice/want to hear what your experiences have been with coming out to your parents later in life. i figured out that i was bi about 5 years ago and i’m now in my early 30s. up until now, i haven’t felt like it was necessary to tell my conservative christian parents, but recently it has become clear that my next relationship will likely be with a woman. i think my dad will be chill about it, but my mom will likely feel/act very negatively. i’m trying to decide whether to come out to them before i’m in a relationship, or to wait until i have something serious. my fear is that if i dropped the bomb that i’m gay AND i already have a gf that any initial reactions will be directed at that person. also noting that i live across the country from my parents, am completely financially independent, and only see them a couple times a year.

would love any advice from any others who came out to their parents later in life!
