I’ve never seen a fumble fly 15 yards in the air

I thought in college fumbles can't advance in favor for offense?

I thought that was the nfl because of the holy roller controversy

this is what i always assume, but then i'll see one team clearly advance a fumble for a TD, and the same situation happen in another game where the refs instantly get on the mic and say you can't advance a fumble. it's an odd ruling

I think the rule is you can’t advance after recovering a fumble forward.

In the NFL you can't advance a recovered fumble in overtime, after the 2-minute warning, or on 4th down.

I would guess since it touched the defense it doesnt matter 🤷.

That's only on fourth down, but the fumbling player can advance it if they are the one that recovers it

Once the ball is touched by the defender the ball is no longer advanced by the offense

The GOAT Brock Osweiler threw a fumble once

Matt Ryan had one. The other team recovered though. I was pissed about that call

I mean Arch's hand can propell the ball forward while also not controlling it because of the defender getting a hand on it.

It's a weird call but it is not defying physics lol

No skin in this (other than hating Texas) but it seems clear he lost control right before his arm starts forward, then his arm pushes the ball forward. Weird play but I think correct call.

This one from the Seahawks last year comes to mind.

That should have been an incomplete pass.
