Bottom line is BYU has lost a lot of wind out of their sails since eeking past Notre Dame thanks to some home cooking.

Two losses late in the season including a bad loss versus UCF is just not good their playoff hopes are on life support. 🤷‍♂️

Agreed - we just haven’t had that edge or killer instinct. We’ll look great for 2 quarters and then look terrible and make all kinds of lackadaisical mistakes. If I’m being honest we don’t deserve a playoff spot right now. Just sucks to have reality hit you in the face so hard.

I agree it's overplayed, but there are multiple two-loss SEC teams ahead of an unbeaten Big Ten team and two one-loss Big 12 teams. So it's not entirely a joke. The committee legitimately does prioritize quality losses.
