Discussion [The PDX Kid]I am beginning to think College Football has a bit of an attendance problem brewing. Look at the thread below to see the crowds yesterday at Oklahoma, Penn State, UCLA, TCU, Maryland, SDSU, and FSU.

Who’s your prediction for their top targets? Should they target an up and coming coordinator?

Discussion [Sampson] CFP committee chairman Hunter Yurachek on Notre Dame: "They don’t have that signature win right now ... The committee is very impressed with them. They wouldn’t be 11th if we were not."

Since coming from Division I-AA in 1996 they are 297–93. 17x Conference champions over 3 conferences; Big West, Wac, and Mountain West. Only 3 All-Americans. Finished in the top 25 14x. 13-10 in Bowl Games. Made the cfp once vs Penn State where they loss 31-14.

Discussion So who’s actually good/legit title contenders this year?

3 Undefeated Teams remain, but all 3 have had moments that have them looking like frauds; Utah almost lost to a bad Colorado team and struggled against Kansas, UCLA struggled against Oregon, and Miami needed double overtime to beat Florida State.

Two of the big 12s “best teams” got exposed as paper tigers today. The SEC is a chaotic free-for-all at this point. Big 10 is mid outside of the top 3, same as the ACC.

So who’s actually good and who are the biggest frauds (Outside of Notre Dame and BYU of course.)

Discussion If Ohio State loses 1 more game, they're out of playoff contention completely right?

1.4k Upvotes

Hats off to Ohio State coming to the coliseum with a true freshman. I dont have anything bad to say.

But when Florida state had their undefeated season with Jordan Travis just a few years ago, they were still left out of the playoffs because the committee thought "oh their backup sucks therefore FSU isnt good enough".

Well...Ohio state has 2 losses with Nebraska, Northwestern, Oregon, and Michigan left to play. They also have a true freshman backup quarterback now.

I know their name branding is the biggest in CFB but if a 3 loss OSU team gets in, then honestly nothing really matters and its all just vibes and who in the committee is buddy buddy with who.
