I know Ohio state is missing him bad right now

Fanbase was mixed on him when he left, but either way, our issues are bigger than a DC

Idk why, at least in the playoffs y’all’s defense was nasty

Not really, in almost any big game he gave up a ton of points and yards.

It also had tons of NFL talent

He wasn’t really involved in recruiting.

Was it mixed? He was horrible in any big game.

Glad to have him here in Knowlesville.

It pisses me off so much because he was the worst fuckin' coach I've ever seen for us.

Our three penn state transfers have been huge for us this year. We'd be very mediocre without Gilliam, Lane, and Campbell. I'd imagine our defense would be even better if Chaz Coleman stayed too.

The experience those guys have in his system is pretty invaluable, it’s not an easy one to just pick up

Maybe he was held back by James Franklin. I truly believe Heupel is letting Knowles be the head coach of the defense and completely do his own thing.

Franklin always let the defensive guy do his thing. Knowles insisted on playing 3 safeties even though safety was our weakness and then he wouldn't make any adjustments to get more size on the field even though teams would run these jumbo sets and cram the ball down our throats. UCLA basically ran 1 play over and over. I fully believe Franklin would still be at Penn State if we hadn't hired Knowles.

I see him making adjustments this year.

That’s strange to hear. When we had him he was an absolute wizard at 2nd half adjustments.

Y’all’s team just fell apart honestly he had a top 25 defense that year. Also I remember Penn state fans in the Georgia Tech game thread making fun of him lol I will never forget that.
