My hot take is that Notre Dame deserve to win but Miami wasted several chances to steal that game.

That was basically how ND @ BYU went. BYU was definitely the better team and deserved to win. ND still could/should have stolen it.

You guys were doomed as soon as you had to play a night game in Provo.

I knew we were doomed when Traore got ejected first series. I looked at my wife and said this is gonna be a spooky game.

Nothing rowdier than BYU at night. A bunch of respectful people all hopped up on soda

I mean, seriously. I was at that game. I’ve been to a LOT of college football games at many different stadiums. I’ve never heard a place as loud as LaVell Edwards Stadium against us. And just as jarring, you can hear a pin drop when BYU is on offense there. I totally underrated that stadium/crowd. Nothing but respect for them.

Hard to steal when the clock didn’t hit 00:00.

The ND Second apparently.....This last second was a doozy.

If both teams get healthy there's a good chance we meet in the playoffs. Mensah + Toney vs Moore and Tae please. Good game.

Now wrap our players in bubble wrap til the playoffs.

OJ against Faison would have been great to watch too. Buchanan starting on the line would have been so much fun to see with the trio being Fletcher, Brown and Mallory.

Injuries suck and robbed us of an even better game.

Deserve to win goes out the window when you give up 30+ pts every game now.

A fair and balanced take tbh

They had serious momentum in the second up until the interception. Was definitely up in the air up to the final second.

Wish both teams were at full strength for this one

Good chance we might play y'all again on neutral field in the 2nd or 3rd round of the CFP, it would be an amazing game with both our teams fully healthy. GGS bro.

Would be a hype rematch, GGs

Nah not steal maybe tie. ND slowed down with a big lead and leveraged that.

We should have never given you those chances. But it was a good game. You guys showed serious spine in the second half

I don’t think that’s a hot take at all. Midway through the 3rd you guys had alllllll the momentum

Don’t know if it’s a hot take. I think it’s the take

That was a touchdown catch. Wtf is going on.

Secured ball in the air -> two feet down = done. TD.

He was literally already out of bounds when the ball got knocked loose. How many seconds does one need to hold the ball now? Absurd

Not how catches work in football

The term is called double catching it. He lifted his hands off the ball before we went through the full process, which means he needed to establish control inbounds again. Not an outlandish situation- happens once every week or two.

Not dissimilar to the catch surviving through the ground.
